    • For those interested, the Steve excerpt above is from an hour-long Star Licks tutorial video that he did a minute ago:
    • Just for you:    People with relative pitch remember the intervals, not the pitches.   If I was asked to, I might give the name "interval memory" to the skill that relative-pitch people have.
    • There is lots of interesting stuff in the wikipedia page:   Special populations   [...]   Absolute pitch ability has higher prevalence among those with Williams syndrome[56] and those with an autism spectrum disorder, with claims estimating that up to 30% of autistic people have absolute pitch.[57][58][59] A non-verbal piano-matching method resulted in a correlation of 97% between[clarification needed] autism and absolute pitch, with a 53% correlation in non-autistic observers[clarification needed].[60] However, the converse is not indicated by research which found no difference between those with absolute pitch and those without on measures of social and communication skills, which are core deficits in autistic spectrum disorders. Additionally, the absolute pitch group's autism-spectrum quotient was "way below clinical thresholds".[61]
    • Can't tell a thing about CV with Leslie on or sim on ....sorry. I have HX3 but default CV on that was never close enough for me in the way Crumar or Viscount are. My original Numa 1 had some of the best CV but has developed a glitsch unfortunately
    • Sometimes you have no choice in upgrading*, like when my late-2013 MBP with Mojave died and I got myself a new 15" Air. I thought going from 10.14 to 13 – skipping two generations of MacOSes, not to mention going from Intel to Apple Silicon – was gonna be rough, but surprisingly it wasn't too bad. I had exactly one 32-bit plugin I had to find a substitute for, Piz Midi's MidiChords (which I just found out may have been recompiled for newer Macs!), It took about a half a day to migrate my old user account, then download & reinstall or update my music sw to AS-native versions.   *OK I had a choice - coulda bought a used Mac. Seeing as we're already three years into the Apple Silicon world, and seeing as I got a good 9 years out of my late-2013, and seeing as Apple gave me an edu discount on the new laptop along with 0% financing with a year to pay it off, and a $150 gift card I used to help pay for the $200 "edu bundle" of Logic, Final Cut Pro, Motion, and Compressor... it wasn't that hard a choice!   I did update my Ventura to the latest version but see no need to go further night now - this is my gigging machine and everything is working great.

    • Echoing the thanks for this review!!   Thoroughly enjoyed the videos on the early development.   I can only imagine the dedication needed to develop this and demonstrate it with that PC Keyboard!!
    • Hi, Steven-   This new architecture was introduced in the Nord Wave 2 minus the Piano and Organ sections-   -dj
    • Mark thanks so much for this in-depth review. I don't have much of value to add beyond I'm fascinated by the Misha, and it's now on the list to buy if / when I make the eurorack plunge. I've been tempted on Eurorack for 3 or 4 years now but don't really have the room to kick much off. But the interest has not faded. Because of the lack of USB MIDI, it doesn't work in my setup as a desktop unit sadly.
