I think you can say that about almost any decade.   

 

As they'd say artists really hungry and work really hard to get that first hit,   but once they get the money and fame they aren't that hungry anymore and there next record sounds like it.

Pat Metheny's side of the story - Pat played some unannounced gigs with Donald Fagen, shortly before Steely Dan was to reunite and begin touring again.  Then the reformed Steely Dan invited Pat to join them but he didn't think a 3-guitar lineup that included himself would work.

Apparently from the same show - Pat not mentioned in the description or title but it's obviously him on lead guitar.  Need to check out more of the late Phoebe Snow's catalog.

Blues band out of Hammond, IN. Live at a brew fest in Michigan City, IN. Keyboardist is wicked on clonewheel…. Just took all of us to church. His rig? Roland VR-09B and Integra 7. Sorry purists…

Who's the band?  Always interested in hearing new blues talent, esp. on keys.;

Derek Caruso and the Blues Fuse. Keys guy is TJ Jenkins, out of Gary, IN. Heavy church music background…
