octa
can't get enough M. Brecker lately. Calderazzo probably belongs on some of these best pianists alive lists too. Saw him w/ Branford last year, very good.

Lyon
I'm gonna have fun listening to all this stuff! Right now I'm compiling a Spotify organ playlist: Shirley Scott, Don Patterson, Groove Holmes, Jimmy Smith, Pat Bianchi, Brian Charette, Joey DeFrancesco, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Melvin Rhyne, Charles Earland, Reuben Wilson... I can't pretend to even approximate what any of them do, but I'm having a lot of fun getting ideas!

I agree increasingly, Docbop! I actually have a few Grover Washington Jr. and Bob James albums that were issued on the KUDU label.
Docbop
Been listening to a lot of Theo Croker lately and really diggin' it. First heard him about ten years ago at Smalls when he'd show up at the jams with Roy Hargrove and he's really found his sound now. Weird the credits for this video are in about the middle, but the music comes back in after them.

TommyRude
Rhianna's halftime show. I'm about 5 min in, and I liked her better in Battleship. She's not even bothering to hold the mic up to her lips for the lip-synch... sheesh! 1 Quote Some music I've recorded and played over the years with a few different bands Tommy Rude Soundcloud
16251
Last couple of days I've been having a Joey Calderazzo orgy. What a flow. Certainly, deserves more acclaim. I had to edit and add this. The flow is so easy for him, damn. 1 Quote AvantGrand N2 | ES520 | Gallien-Krueger MK & MP | https://soundcloud.com/pete36251
