  1. His music lives on forever. RIP
  2. darn, I’m not in the running for this one… I’m not over 30 😁👍
  3. SCORED! The clouds parted at the perfect moment. MIND BOGGLING! Highly recommend! 👍😁
  4. Yes, outside Austin. The festival was canceled this morning due to the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning. So we got out of there, and began to chase patches of blue sky. Found a spot, the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Express in Marble Falls TX 😁 Getting some good views!
  5. So I'm at this wacky festival in Texas, a mix of things, saw one duo yesterday, really enjoyed it, called The Floozies. Very funky, super aggressive keyboard driving bass lines. Seems like most of the music is EDM, and it's goes all night, thankfully I have noise canceling headphones 😁. Tomorrow night Vulfpeck will be playing. Out of the 400 artists lineup, they are the only one I recognize. The festival attendees... boy oh boy oh boy. I guess in line with the theme of the festival, I've never seen so many moons. As for the eclipse itself, the forecast is not looking good, DANG!
  6. haha that’s hilarious! After a quick scan, my top 3 = Dark Side of the Moon, Black Hole Sun, Rocket Man. These are can’t miss! I’m actually going to an eclipse festival in Austin TX. My wife figured it all out, looks like about a thousand different ‘experiences’, music, science, on and on. Vulfpeck is on the roster so that’s cool. I’m pretty sure I’ll burn out before the actual eclipse. Checking the weather, looks like thunderstorms, rain and clouds during the eclipse. Nice.
  7. I had to layer additional AI cyber algorithms to my tracks to prevent them from being able to be split. So many people trying to split my tracks without paying me. Taylor Swift, Brad Pitt, Mick Jagger, Zac Effron, Wolf Blitzer, Dave Grohl - all have been trying to split my tracks, and that’s just in the past week.
  8. A guy I played with last summer used a Maschine, he loved it. Used it primarily to trigger various samples.
  9. hey CyberGene, based on this piece, I dug into your yt channel, some really nice stuff
  10. if they would've used AI and robots to design and install the doors, they'd stay attached
  11. algorithms ‘can’ be extremely valuable. In the case a particular alogrithm is considered to be the crown jewel of a company/brand, they are usually heavily protected. So in the new AI world, the prompt will be considered just as important as the song, or equivalent to the song. What came first, the prompt or the song? Starting now, I will be registering my prompts with the Smithsonian.
  12. Would I use a robot in my band for live shows? Sure, they don’t complain, they work for cheap, they don’t make mistakes. Feed them the right algorithm, they can rock pretty hard too! Moreover, you can dress ‘em up to look good, downright sexy. Even more, they can double as security. if you get a robot musician that has the optional military chip, they can attack hecklers, render them unconscious in seconds and get right back on stage and continue the show.
  13. I’m running a macbook pro, 100% Mainstage at the moment, 2 boards, Key Largo. Midi hub to connect the Mac to the boards and the KL. Fairly bulletproof. Noting - however - I need to keep the macbook plugged in, I came close to running out of juice once when I forgot to plug it in. For safety, in the early days, I kept another Mac running on the side in case the first Mac crashed. It hasn’t crashed yet. But I rehearsed switching them out, just unplug the midi hub from the first Mac, plug it into the 2nd - - voilà, took about 30 sec, worked perfectly.
  14. I know it’s not on your list, but I use a Macbook Pro, very stable, reliable. More and more I trust the rig, the interfaces, cables et al, letting me focus less on the screen, and more and more on the show, band, audience. Any screen - laptop, remote, iPad, keyboard screen - hate to look at them. It’s unavoidable, but less is better, at least from a performance perspective.
  15. Yeah the big colorful one! Got it, Behringer 2600. Man, you’re really bringing it at this gig 👍😁
