Dig My Rig--Let's see your setup!

Keep his feet warm.

Either that, or they're lights.

(Grumble, grumble, hrmph...)

Seriously, what are they?

Tony's answer was pretty funny, they are warm.

But yes, his second answer is correct...they are very bright white lights that allow the audience to see me occasionally. On the first tour, I was in the dark most of the show, I'm not vain about such things but for the fans' sake, thank jeebus they finally put some decent lights on me. :)

Now if I could stop knocking them over :D

I'm surprised no one asked what the collection of different sized butt plugs on top of my rack are. ;) ;)

Which board was easier to use as a controller to, eg., a Yamaha ES Rack, etc.?

If you're doing any serious MIDI stuff, I would highly suggest the XK3c. It has three fully configurable, splittable zones and also the assignable knobs and buttons on the right hand side. I use my XK3 with a Motif ES rack and it works great.

Thank you! That's exactly what I needed to know, Jim.

+1! It's also much more B3 like in the keyboard response.

You need to slide those congas around next to the Moog so you can reach them. ;) ... I hate to ask what is in that can next to the congas.

:-) Hate to disappoint, but it's a dumbek in its case. And our percussionist plays the congas about a hundred times better than I could, so I'll leave 'em in his setup.

Nice!

@New&Improv:

What kind of stand is that supporting the StudioFlyer4U?

Some sort of QuicLok WS?

Good catch, it's Quiklok WS 540, the mixer/rack version of their T-stand. It' a very convenient little stand, solid as anything and packs up very small.

Clonk for info

Yeah, sure, the guy with the supermodel girlfriend has no pictures of the two of them together. Uh huh. The one that got away and all that.

Pics or it DIDNT happen!!!!

In an already impressive display of gear, the best collection is the one we cant see.

My rig consists of a Radio Shack MD-1800 (really a Casio WK-3000) and an ancient Peavy KB-100 keyboard amp.

And in the last few weeks that I've been hauling it to jams all my musician friends tell me what an awesome keyboard player I am.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA giggle snort...

Hey Mike,

Furman PL 8 power conditioner,

Alesis Multi Mix 8 mixer,

2x Shure PSM 200 in-ear monitor transmitters,

2x MiPro 808 in-ear monitor transmitters.

Beside the keybard stand is a pile o' Clydesdale case for all the keys.

You might recognize one of them.

Cheers,

Gord

Hi Gord!

Yes nice case for the NE3-61! Good Score  Got my C2 case! I am looking at what guys are using for a 1U rack mixer. I saw the Samson SM-10 in the States last week. Price is really good, but was looking at an Ashly also. Hope the case is working out! Cheers Mike

Wow... so many gorgeous rigs. Y'all are making me feel like the cobbler whose kids go barefoot.

I expect I'll be emailing a lot of you about "Dig My Rig" in the front of the magazine.

It's took me a long time to get to this stage but this is my rig! Finally got nice examples and spent a fair amount on restoration of internals. I'll keep these until I pop my mortal coil. If your friends with me and play keyboards.......I don't have a will written out yet lol.
