Tobias Åslund
AA - that's a really nice rig! One question - do you feel the Receptor still is needed? I mean, it seems you have everything covered with those three boards. What do you have running in the receptor? Analogaddict
OP-X PRO..! That's why it's still there. I've made some rather nice Oberheim programs in my PC3, but the OP-X is as good as it gets. I'm running OP-X (not pro) on my V-machine, but it's a pain in the behind to edit programs and I can't get it to respond correctly to program changes. Tobias Åslund
Here is my big gig-rig. The small rig is just the Nord and the shelf with the gadgets. http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/3156/img1032uy.jpg Keyboards: Kurz PC88 (used as midi keyboard, no sounds) Nord Stage 2 sw73 Nord organ goes from separate out 3 -> Danelectro Spring King -> Ventilator (stereo) -> Yamaha MG82cx Ventilator is controlled from my DIY "halfmoon" which has a switch so I can control it from two button footswitch instead (not seen in picture). Other sounds from the Nord are run in stereo. On the right hand side of the Kurz is a TC Helicon VoiceLive touch vocal processor & harmonizer. Not seen in picture: 2x EV ZXA1-90B:s on tripod stands. The top shelf still needs some rearranging. Will make room for the VoiceLive and a few of my other gadgets - an EHX V256 vocoder, and either a V-machine or my Novation A-station. Steve LeBlanc
Greek Theater in Hollywood: sleepy soundcheck: In case you're wondering why that guitar coffin is right behind me on stage...they were a bit too cheap to hire me a proper tech this last tour...so...pretty much all tour I was grabbing my own instruments on the fly and adjusting tuning when possible as fast as possible. Sometimes it was fun but most of the time it just made my job a whole lot more difficult. But a Dry Ice machine? No matter what the cost, get it!
