mynameisdanno
Great session this last weekend, tracking rhythm section, guitar, and keys live, at a lake house in rural OK. Didn't have room in the trailer for the Suitcase 88 or it would have been there too. I was not happy to be entrusting the Wurlitzer and Stage 2 to an X-stand, but the leg flange screw holes stripped out as I was putting the legs on. http://slorg.org/kc/IMG_3856.jpg Iso booth / keyboard player guest bedroom: http://slorg.org/kc/IMG_3848.jpg The engineers were both excellent cooks too. ABECK
I'm running Digital Performer on the Mackbook. We use it to play backing tracks for Dark Side of the moon (money loop, time clocks, heartbeat track, etc....) I'm not using it to run any VIs from my rig. I was just commenting last night how much of a pain in the ass it is to have to manage the laptop tracks and my various patch changes and cue the performers at certain parts. With Dark Side of the Moon, there aren't any great opportunities to stop. The album just runs from one track into another. I'm hoping I can pass this off to someone else next time we do this show. Entering my postal code gives an error,- as expected So, I cannot see it actually,- but it´s good to know you´ve found it @Staples because I have a shop in my neighborhood 1 mile away and never expected to find something useful for studio usage there. Now I see why you had to mod the "wings" for the speakers. I´ll investigate in this because it´s a cool price for a base to do mods. Visited german Staples website yesterday and found out they don´t offer these desks at all, buy maybe I find one @ebay. The Thomann studio furniture stuff is far more expensive and needs mods too.
