  1. sweet... may I ask how many tracks you used - at least it sounds like more than one? thanks FWIW I uploaded a live version to Youtube last summer, forgot to post it here. It's not the greatest recording, just through the built-in speakers on the Privia picked up by a Smartphone camera. In a lot of ways it's probably a better performance than the hifi recorded one. Sounds best in HD. [video:youtube]
  2. Only heard it through my laptop speakers so far but the piano sounds great, great playing too...thanks for sharing Bobby.
  3. My son and I improvising today: https://soundcloud.com/stephen-leblanc-1/synth-improvisation-miles-and-dad Casio PX5S mono direct into a Fender Twin Reverb Amp
  4. sweet... may I ask how many tracks you used - at least it sounds like more than one? thanks 1 take Live Piano, one live overdub Electric Piano I recorded the piano using the "Song Recorder" function which is high resolution midi, no quantizing. I originally improvised most of the piece recording direct to USB. I listened back and learned the whole thing, practiced it and re-recorded it. I overdubbed the Electric piano while recording the "Song Recorder" track to audio on the USB thumb drive The Casio PX350 is a great writing tool *my left hand isn't as strong as I'd like but this was the best performance overall of the bunch
  5. great mix, tasty playing and yes, that wurli patch has a nice character fwiw, I would suggest you all think about taking more time to develop your solos...felt to me like they go from half to full pedal a bit too soon...more space. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth, take it or leave it. Really enjoyed the video cheers
  6. I improvised this piece a couple of days ago, learned the whole thing from start to finish and replayed it a little better. Recorded to thumb drive on a Casio PX350 https://soundcloud.com/stephen-leblanc-1/nerine
  7. Was messing with the live parameters playing an Arp patch on the PX-5S and decided to hit record...one live take... http://soundcloud.com/stephen-leblanc-1/arp-jam
  8. Yes, I studied Piano, Composition and a bit of Synthesis there Dick Grove was an absolute genius, his approach to modern harmony was revolutionary and extremely useful for any pro musician, IMHO. That and he was a truly wonderful man. I'll try to tell a fun story or 2 if I have time later.
  9. I posted a few sequencer jams I did yesterday afternoon on my soundcloud...all from the Casio Privia PX350...no quantizing: I should clarify that it's really more of an idea recorder than sequencer...'16 track song recorder' to be exact.
  10. ugh, I was kinda' faking it a bit there but thanks linwood, you're the man
  11. a little Christmas spirit this morning on my Casio Privia PX-350: http://soundcloud.com/stephen-leblanc-1/merry-xmas#play
  12. Sat down to do some practicing and figured what the hell, since it's so easy to record with this thing, might as well make a demo... http://soundcloud.com/stephen-leblanc-1/casio-px350-improv-demo-grand
  13. Listened to these a few days ago and relistening to it again. These have a really cool vibe. Great recording quality too. Great tracks. Thank you Jazz. As far as sound quality goes, we did the best we could with what we had, glad your ears were happy with it. :-)
  14. I've recently uploaded a bunch of stuff from the ole' junk drawer...some of it is pretty good IMHO... There are some long improv jams, short songs and demos.
  15. Slides for guitar? Do I win something? for lap steel, you are correct, I have no prize
  16. (Grumble, grumble, hrmph...) Seriously, what are they? Tony's answer was pretty funny, they are warm. But yes, his second answer is correct...they are very bright white lights that allow the audience to see me occasionally. On the first tour, I was in the dark most of the show, I'm not vain about such things but for the fans' sake, thank jeebus they finally put some decent lights on me. Now if I could stop knocking them over I'm surprised no one asked what the collection of different sized butt plugs on top of my rack are. ;)
  17. OMG!! Sometimes I forget just how much gear some of you guys have...count me envious
