  1. OK, I made it downloadable for a limited time...keep in mind it's almost 12mb. http://www.artistlaunch.com/jamfree
  2. Starfucker, I listened to Studio Blues. Really cool jam...love the organ. That jam is old school man...I felt like I was listening to Steppenwolf and Uriah Heap fused together through some cosmic event. I'll check out the rest of the page before the end of the week. I just uploaded a long excerpt from our new Live CD that's coming soon if you want to check it out. "Excerpt from JamFree Live - with Ralph Rivers" http://www.artistlaunch.com/jamfree
  3. Recorded this last night...the words are taken from a poem by Daisy called "Situation". Drums and Rhodes were recorded live a while ago, vocal and all other instruments last night. Any advice on the mix would be appreciated. "Situation" (9mb) http://www.artistlaunch.com/jamfree
  4. Welcome Cezar! It's not always the case but in my own experience production is always a heavy factor whenever trying to convince someone to invest in your product. Even if it's not a product yet (Demo). This is even more true for R&B than probably any other style of music. If you wrote Country music or even Pop music the song might shine through regardless of production value...that's almost never the case with R&B. If you have the means...why waste your time doing a so so demo...do it right the first time, it's worth it, especially if your aim is to get some sort of deal from it. Record labels and publishers both LOVE finished product. Just my 2 cents...take it or leave it...hope it helps. Again welcome to the Keyboard Corner. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif Peace and Love, Steve
  5. Last Night's Creation...pretty insane stuff if I can say so, I'm proud of it. Download the Short Intro (4.2 MB) or the Long Crazy Version (20MB): "State of Mind" http://www.artistlaunch.com/jamfree Smoke it if ya got it http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif
  6. Cool Coyote...I think you're being too hard on yourself regarding the vocal...the vocal is fine. I'm really impressed by your multi-instrument skills...the drums are especially suprisingly good. What kind of synth was that in the beginning?
  7. Todd, all I have to say is you really Jam. Great stuff!
  8. Wow man, you've got some beautiful organs...I'll check your music out later tonight.
  9. I'm just gonna keep posting them as we do em http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif We recorded this last Friday 10-05-01...it was for my brother Tom's birthday party. Sample from Tommy's B-day Jam (3.5mb) It's just a short sample...I hope you enjoy it. This message has been edited by Steve LeBlanc on 10-10-2001 at 09:22 PM
  10. I have to post this here because my brother Tom has been doing some major work on my '77 Rhodes (fixing the Tremolo, Cleaning all the contacts, adjustments to the action). We recorded this experimental craziness Friday Night...Tom's playing the Rhodes, I'm on Drums, my friend Chris Taylor is playing Bass. "Friday Night" http://www.artistlaunch.com/jamfree This is a live board recording so the mix isn't great.
  11. The Gods sent me from heaven. In case you were wondering...Heaven is located HERE! YEAH!!! This message has been edited by Steve LeBlanc on 09-28-2001 at 04:33 PM
  12. Cool Paul...I especially like the vocals. That snare has a weird Phase effect...was that on purpose? Either way it's kinda cool. HA your voice reminds me of Willie Nelson http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif

  14. Anyone ready to listen to some music? This tune is REALLY happy...finished it Friday. \"Find Your Way Back Home\" Alan Scobie, I listened to the sample of So Inspired...Great mix...not my style of music really but I can appreciate it. istyle, Wow...that's fast man...pretty cool..far more interesting than most of the electronic stuff I come across. I especially liked the leads and the video game like sound effects. Really cool. Sugarfried, Cool a real band http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif...good solid RocknRoll with a punk tinge...keep jammin. This message has been edited by Steve LeBlanc on 09-17-2001 at 03:36 PM
  15. Thanks guys...we have some excellent "SONGS" in the works as well, I'm really glad you guys enjoy our jam samples. Thanks for listening. This message has been edited by Steve LeBlanc on 09-17-2001 at 03:24 PM
  16. We recorded all night until 5AM last night...I uploaded a short excerpt from one jam section. Check it out...lots of notes http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif "Excerpt from new tune" 2.6 MB http://www.artistlaunch.com/jamfree (This tune no longer exists...it was a short section of our song "Situation" before it was finished)
  17. Yeah, you've gotta love the use of eating utensils for percussion...that sure beats a drum machine eh? I have a lot of musical respect for Pitchfork...more than I ever thought I would have for someone with a background in Punk music and no formal training...I'm glad you enjoyed it. heh, yep we should add to the description...Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Weed and sleep depravation http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif...very integral parts of that weekend recording session. It's especially cool that I met him on a BBS...the best thing about the internet is building relationships that work in real life http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif... 18. Fantastic...man, you got a great sound on the guitar...lately I can't play my guitar for more than 5 minutes before I have to detune it to something low. Your voice is amazing, I wish I could get that kinda depth out of mine. I've got a friend I met on the internet a couple of years ago...we've met in person and even recorded together...he lives in Santa Cruz, CA...anyway...I think you'll appreciate his music as much as I do. Some samples of his music: His MP3c page and Besonic page Especially the songs "Tarantula" and "Mind" or check out our collaboration: http://www.besonic.com/pitchforkandnotesleb Thanks for posting your new song...I really enjoyed listening. 19. OK, I've posted this tune before but for those who might be interested (or any new listeners)...this is a MUCH better mix: "Unless You Know" 5.6 MB http://www.jamfree.com/music.htm
  20. hehe, yeah when I get behind the Rhodes I'm pretty far from sane http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/smile.gif Thanks for checking it out Cameron...I do plan on writing a tune based on the middle section you mentioned. Give Bernarda a kiss for me.
  21. Last night's Improv Jam recorded live to CD, just Rhodes and Drums. At times comical...some sections are just magical. The jam has 3 basic movements each with it's own bit of personality. The Vocal is more for added melodic color than anything...it's pretty rough. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif Enjoy: "Rhodes and Drums Duet"(approx. 12MB) http://www.artistlaunch.com/jamfree
  22. Yet another jam...this one's mostly improvised...the Rhodes, Vocal and Drums were recorded live with no preconceived ideas...I overdubbed a bass part in my garage later, just for fun. http://www.musicplayer.com/ubb/wink.gif It's a rough mix...especially the vocal (which just sounds like shit at times) but I think it's well worth a listen. I may rerecord this later. "Lullaby Jam" http://www.artistlaunch.com/sleblanc
