  1. @ProfD already quoted this and I'll do it again. Truth.
  2. Thanks for the follow up. That's authoritative intel. And, per my earlier comments, they did a great job mic-ing it.
  3. That's entertaining. I just paste the YT link in the text box and it automatically embeds the video.
  4. This editor is amazing! Great work!
  5. I mean no disrespect to the Voce... rather, I was complimenting Joey on doing WAY more with a ROMpler and a half-rack than I could do with a Hammond and a Leslie.
  6. Shame on me if I ever again use sub-optimal gear as an excuse
  7. I've done the exact same thing on several low key gigs. Wurlitzer e-piano sounds "good enough" for sure through a stopped Leslie.
  8. Resurrecting this zombie thread to give a heads up that Monoprice is having a one-day discount on its Height Adjustable Sit-Stand Dynamic Stool. Similar to the Ikea stool @analogika recommends. https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=36641
  9. Intrigued by this option. The piano tone on the Kimmel video sounds a little too perfect and even for an acoustic.
  10. Glad to see TTB getting attention on network TV. I was about to post this video to praise them for using a real acoustic piano on stage but upon further investigation, I'm less sure. Could be a slab keyboard in a spinet shell. I don't see any mics on the piano... but maybe mics are internal. Looks cool either way. What do you think? Keyboard shown prominently at beginning of the song.
  11. Based on album cover in original post, Cedar WAS the band leader
  12. Love these photos! The first one is a perfect snapshot of the mid-80s. The second one has me wondering why the names of Beatles are displayed SO big on the venue wall.
  13. Indeed! Still hard to get used to the lack of stage volume these days. Billy just has his IEMs, I guess.
  14. In case this thread causes folks to revisit this tune, here is a webpage I've appreciated... a fellow took the time to write (and post!) pretty good charts for the entire band: https://www.grantobrien.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=23&Itemid=130 Also, @KeyboardEric made a good tutorial:
  15. There were MANY. I'll try to find a source as to the exact number but Fagan and Becker had a bunch of top shelf players take a shot at this solo before they found one they liked.
  16. This is a sad sign of the times. It was quite a district for musos!
  17. Am jonesin' for a board with a built in mixer. The Yamaha CP73 / 88 also caught my eye for this functionality, although it has just a single pair of stereo inputs.
