Most authentic organ clone (2 manual)
bachsteady replied to bachsteady's topic in The Keyboard Corner
I have never seen or heard of someone doing that Delaware Dave. So in essence take out the A028 and work with a tech to have it be used with a clone. Maybe that would be a good idea. Have you heard any examples of someone doing this? Cool idea -
Most authentic organ clone (2 manual)

I forgot the Hammond SKXpro, thanks Niacin. How do you like the extra sounds on the Hammond? -
I have played a real Hammond B3 and A100 as well as a Hammond Xk3 and Viscount solo. Been thinking about replacing my Viscount solo with a 2 manual organ clone and would like to hear what everyone recommends. Right now I use the Viscount solo through a leslie preamp into a 145 leslie. I also have the opportunity to take a used A102 and convert it to a chop as well but I am not sure I want to carry that weight but I'm open depending on the chop design I suppose. Not sure the cost of that as well, it was just an idea. The following are keyboards I have thought about but havent played: 1. Viscount 251 2. Mag C2 3. Crumar Mojo classic 4. Hammond XK5 5. Nord C2 6. HX3 6 Possible chop? Budget would be $5000

Any video with the new set up?

Years ago on Facebook or online somewhere I recall Joey D contributing to a discussion about leslies. During that conversation he mentioned what he considered to be the best sounding leslie and it was not what you would think. Lately with his passing I was trying to remember what model that was but for the life of me I can not. It was smaller if I recall and was not a household model one usually hears about when talking about Leslies. Figured I would put it out there and see if anyone here has that info? Thanks

One last question, if you had to choose between one DXR8 mk ii or 2 DXR8's which would you choose? -

Do you think if you had to choose between the two you would rather have 2 Mk2's? -
Recently bought a DXR8 that was on sale and while I like the size and sound didn't realize until afterward there was a newer model. I know of some differences, weight, newer horn and driver I believe, different outer casing and additional handle etc. I have three questions really: One, has anyone compared them specifically with acoustic piano sounds and what were the findings? Would it be worth an extra $200 for the newer model? Lastly, one of the inputs is a stereo input. While trying it out I did not notice any difference in sound when I plugged my Nord stage 3 compact mono versus stereo. Am I missing something, should I be hearing a noticeable difference or not? Thanks

A little while ago I posted about wanting to record my practice's and was recommended a portable recording device. I guess I was not quite clear and wanted to ask again. The keyboard in question is used with headphones and I wanted to record to my iphone so is there a piece of hardware I need to make this possible? I think it is called an audio interface but I am not sure, thank a bunch!

I"ve noticed a feature on some keyboards that I wish more keyboards had, the ability to record on the fly and play back. Now my current keyboard does not have this feature and I was wondering how if any of the fine people here would suggest recording direct from a keyboard without hooking to a computer to save ideas and such? Thanks
