AI writes dialogue for scene with two piano players.

Recommended Posts

I asked Microsoft’s chatbot to, “Write a short conversation between two piano players discussing jazz improvisation and use musical terminology and historic jazz references.”

 Result…

“Sure, here’s a conversation between two piano players discussing jazz improvisation using musical terminology and historic jazz references:

Character 1: Hey man, I was listening to some of your solos the other night. You’ve got some serious chops!

Character 2: Thanks, I appreciate it. I’ve been working on my bebop vocabulary lately.

Character 1: Yeah, I could tell. You were throwing in some really cool licks. Have you been practicing your arpeggios?

Character 2: Definitely. I’ve been trying to get my hands around some of those tricky diminished arpeggios. They’re tough, but they sound so good.

Character 1: For sure. You know who was a master of those? Bud Powell. He had some of the most insane diminished runs.

Character 2: Oh yeah, I love Bud Powell. He was a genius. Have you ever checked out some of his recordings with Charlie Parker?

Character 1: Of course! “Anthropology” is one of my all-time favorites. Speaking of Parker, have you ever tried playing over “Confirmation”?

Character 2: Yeah, that’s a great tune. I love the way Parker plays over those changes. It’s like he’s weaving in and out of the harmony.

Character 1: Exactly. That’s what I love about jazz improvisation. It’s like a conversation between the musicians. You’re constantly bouncing ideas off each other and building something together.

Character 2: Yeah, it’s like a never-ending dialogue. That’s what makes it so exciting.

I hope you enjoyed that! Let me know if you want me to generate anything else.”

I asked MS’s AI to write a short conversation between two characters talking about fashion and to use slang.

Result…

“Sure thing! Here’s a short conversation between two characters discussing fashion using slang:

Character 1: Hey, girl! You’re looking fly today. What’s the occasion?

Character 2: Thanks, boo! I’m just feeling myself today. I got this new dress from the thrift store and I’m loving it.

Character 1: Ooh, I see you! That dress is giving me life. You’re definitely serving looks today.

Character 2: Haha, thanks! I’m trying to step up my fashion game, you know? I’ve been watching a lot of fashion vlogs on YouTube lately.

Character 1: Oh, I feel you. I’ve been obsessed with streetwear lately. Have you heard of the term “hypebeast”?

Character 2: Yeah, I have! It’s basically someone who’s obsessed with hype fashion brands, right?

Character 1: Exactly! I’m trying to cop some new Yeezys this weekend. You should come with me!

Character 2: For sure, I’m down! I’ve been wanting to get some new kicks anyway.

Hope you enjoyed that! Let me know if you want me to generate anything else.”

My opinion on that script? It's like a neverending dialogue. That's what makes it so boring.

Cheers, Mike.

Here's an AI joke created by Microsoft Copilot:

Two AIs walk into a bar. The bartender looks up and says, “Sorry, we don’t serve your kind here.” The first AI responds, “That’s okay, we don’t drink anyway. We’re just here to compute the probability of a joke being funny.”

Historians will later refer to the period we're in now as the "AI Honeymoon, when people thought AI was amusing and harmless."

Of course when I say "historians" I really mean AI.
