  1. Yeah, I remember that show (loved the tunnel from FOH to backstage). That was Derek Hilland on keys. Worked with CRA quite a bit, too (I was still in touch via phone & email with Pete until covid hit). We probably didn't meet, as my job(s) didn't leave much time for 'schmoozing' 🙂.
  2. What a coincidence; I was their tour manager and FOH engineer for that tour (among others). What city would that be?
  3. Haven't had the privilege, but I have been using an sf-12 and sf-1 (mono version) for a couple of decades. If I had to record a whole band in a room with 1 mike, it would be the sf-12 (& I imagine, the sf-24). I like these above all other ribbon mics (& a LOT of condensers) that I've used/heard.
  4. When I was mostly playing for a living (as well as running a small studio and doing anything in the music/recording line that would pay), I went through a series of girlfriends who would, within 6 months or so do one of 2 things. 1) Say "When are you gonna quit this music shit and get a real job?" or 2) Cheat on me with another musician. Of course, I stuck with the music and said "goodbye" to the cheaters. Finally in my late 40s I met a woman who "got" me. It's been over 20 years now, and we've been through 2 Cat.4 hurricanes together, and nary a peep about my music addiction. May you all be as lucky!
  5. A man runs into a proctologist office shouting "Help me! Help me! I think I'm a moth!" The doctor said "I'm a proctologist. You should see the psychiatrist." The man says "Yes I know." The proctologist asks "Then why did you come into this office?" The man says "The light was on."
  6. Coincidentally, I was at a dinner tonight with Jeffry Biegel, the pianist for his final work:
  7. If you go here: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/prorecordingworkshop/ William Wittman (Cindy's bass player & music director) is there almost every day (screen name Weedy Wet). He's very open to inquiries, if you have any.
  8. And I almost managed to, but you had to bring him up... 😄
  9. Washington Filibusters... 'nough said 🫠
  10. Sorry, I thought the giant letters were a giveaway
