Does "let's hear it" section apply to CD releases?

If so here's our latest release, "Volume 3: The Root" by my band "McTuff". A lil different take on the organ trio format.

* this CD is currently only sold at live shows until wide release coming soon.

:thu: nice! Inventive as well!

That's very nice stuff, Steve.

Here is my beautiful new Hammond SK1, with my new band playing my composition (New York Blues) at the San Pancho Music Festival (I live in Nayarit, Mexico).

The guitarist was out of the frame, sadly! I love the Wurly on the Sk1.

great mix, tasty playing and yes, that wurli patch has a nice character

fwiw, I would suggest you all think about taking more time to develop your solos...felt to me like they go from half to full pedal a bit too soon...more space. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth, take it or leave it. Really enjoyed the video

cheers

1 take Live Piano, one live overdub Electric Piano

I recorded the piano using the "Song Recorder" function which is high resolution midi, no quantizing. I originally improvised most of the piece recording direct to USB. I listened back and learned the whole thing, practiced it and re-recorded it. I overdubbed the Electric piano while recording the "Song Recorder" track to audio on the USB thumb drive

The Casio PX350 is a great writing tool

*my left hand isn't as strong as I'd like but this was the best performance overall of the bunch

I think this might be the first time I post in this thread... Better late than never! Here are a couple videos with some singers from recently:

Recorded this one live a couple months ago. Acoustic rearrangement of two of the singer's favourite EDM tunes.

This was just yesterday for a short combo performance at school. Original tune by the singer, in tribute to a friend who recently passed away.

I suppose I might throw in a couple that I already posted about in the Shameless Plugs:

here is my latest band project - real good bunch of guys to jam with - would like some feedback on our demo songs below - Especially want to hear from you great key guys on our version of "Never Been Any Reason" - (was pretty excited when the singer suggested that one .. always wanted to try it !) - Synth is my Nord Lead 2, so not quite as fat as the original Moog.

demo

PC1x, Hammond XK1c, Deep Mind 6, MS500 (gig rig)

Kurz PC4, Mini Moog Model D, Little Phatty, Hammond M3, Leslie 145, viscount op-3, Behringer model D, Roland GAIA.. (home studio)

Right. I'm big proponent of good music, especially with live bands, and generally speaking this sounds like a nice band, which isn't easy, so I'm all for.

On a critical and personal note, I think the singer(s) have potential and are clearly working on that, and indeed I find bass and drums pretty good, I suppose they could do serious pop that should somehow make it. I personally don't care much for the way the synth sounds sound, they lack most interest for me, even though I'd say they're passable. I'd like more power, interest, diversity, and sonic punch to the sounds, but it may be that's a matter of taste, though that might fit the band sound better.

Good project.

T.

Might as well put this here. I don't plug my stuff much. If you enjoy Stevie, Jamiroquai, Hall & Oates and Michael McDonald, you'll hopefully enjoy my music.

Really nice smooth vibes and sounds you've got going on there Philip.Very easy on the ear vocals and the whole works.

I reckon your stage name should be Phil Clark :)

Wow! Love your EP follow up! - Killer Good!

(I can't believe no one else's ears have pricked up on this here!)

A couple of videos of my trio from Sunday night's got--Blue Monk and I'll Take Les. That's my Hammond SK1 73, first with a piano patch and then with a Wurly layered over an organ sound, and then pure organ.

The sound is a little low, so you might have to turn it up a tad.

The cameraman was the bassist's girlfriend...enough said. ;) There is some chatter close to the mic here and there but it goes away. Good drummer, good chemistry. Pulled back energy because we were in a restaurant, but still a nice look at what I'm doing musically right now.

I'm working on not worrying so much about accuracy and just going for it as a player.

Oh, and there's an edit in Blue Moon where I removed the bass solo--it wouldn't upload, too long.

The second one is a big file, so let it load for a few minutes first. Thanks for watching!

I'll listen in a sec, Toblerone--he was a big influence on me.

But let first post this--live from a funky beach bar in Puerto Vallarta, my composition New York Blues. played by my trio (Roberto Falcón on bass, Jesus Estrada on drums). It won't win awards for sound quality, but it will do. The trio was on fire and I got deeper into Keith Emerson territory than usual. :)
