  1. Right on Stale! Be sure to share some footage when to link em. The moment I got it and heard its character I thought how fat it would sound with a Moog. Actually haven't checked the audio in out yet but have an old beat up Juno Id like to try it with. Some yammy patches too. Yea that Tetra looks pysst! Bet it delivers! This is my first DS unit. If it proves durable, I'm definetly a fan! They really do have their own sou nd going...and its a great one! In my old Fantom XR I used to have (man do I wish I had it now!) My favorite solo patch was called "Stacked Prophets". Obviously sampled from the real deal. Now I know why after tapping in to them oscillators. Unbelievable!
  2. Well after a week with the Mopho, it still blows me away with how tweakable it is. Only complaints I can dig up are: 1. I wish the pots weren't incremental. Are all DSI boards like that? Is something I can live with. Sound quality trumps it for sure. 2. I can't get the software to jive with the unit. Lol! I'm sure is a user error but been trying for a couple days. Still no dice. ??? Other than that, love this frign thing! Tried it in Sonar and it records through my UR-22 very nice!
  3. Was tired of using cans so I got these for the studio. I thought I was going to hate them but for their price I'm very impressed. http://www.sweetwater.com/images/items/350/ErisE4.5.jpg
  4. Nice controller! Wonder if there is an adaptor for the power to use BUS power? That would be nice. If your going of battery power in the ipad, I'm sure it would drain fast though.
  5. Blah! Who slipped the mirco dot in my kit kat? Anyway, write button lets you save the whole your working on and even name it and store it in any bank. Each bank (3 of them)) has 128 program spots to save it. Perfect for gigs or location for production. Final thought, I just covered a few things can do. Bundles with a software that lets you see whats going on better. I've played alot of synths through the years. This one is one of the, if not the best I heard and most versatile. $329 bones. Can stick it anywhere. Plus audio in feature! This thing is pysst!
  6. The OP did better than me. Killer score man! Congrats! I mentioned this earlier but now had a chance delve into it. I just got a Mopho desk top. Two reasons. One, its small and compact. Two, it 100% analog. This thing is a beast! Two oscillators. Both completely tweakable. Oscillators are also mixable. A really cool feature. Four assignable knobs along with the typical ones round this synth out nicely. The parameter list that you can assign to these knobs is huge! It makes the program (patch) your working on so expressive, it will suprise you. A 4×16 arp. is one of them parameters. 4 different patterns with 16 steps each means you cab get some wicked grooves going. Can also make the vco(s) unstable. So it really give that vintage vibe anothplace". That spot where everjiving, all your assignable knobs are what you want. You just with you could snapshot this program and all its attributes. Hit the "write" switch and you cab. Even name it. Then store it in any bank abvmn xxmAb bbii7jjjmmkjñ pp
  7. Thanks brother! Got a Halloween gig today. Gonna go for it! *gulp!* lol! Hope chemo meds "play nice". I also hope no one requests the Monster Mash! Lol! We can do it but I like it about as much as a polka! Lol!
  8. Just ordered a Mopho. Should be hear tomorrow. So, tomorrow night my neighbors are leaving earth.
  9. Been feelin too sick to gig. Still get the itch to play-dough! [video:youtube] Mistakes and all! Lol!
  10. Otherwise what it calls stereo is really just a daisy chain. I suppose they figure they can pull that illusion off with guitar players, vocalists, bass players ect., but as keyboardists, we're on to their sh!t.
  11. I don't know that mixer, but do know the incorrect labeling of "true stereo" vs "dual mono" from manufacturers because of my Yammy mixer. If I want true stereo I need to split the amp (monitor & mains) and use the monitor as the true stereo counterpart of the mains. .
  12. Thanks brett! Jerry Lee is definetly one of my heros. Back when I was playing on the road with bands I sang a little lead and alot of harmonies. I was sort of like a relief pitcher( giving the lead singers a break) Tunes I sang were (that I can remember): Great Balls of Fire, Stormy Monday, Lets Twist Again, Junco Partner, Hoochie Coochie Man, Outside, Big Jim. Thats what I remember off the top of my melon. These days I'll do them once in a while but Toni is much better at it.
  13. [video:youtube] Having fun jammin' after a gig. At around 9:00 ish the Mrs. brings in my weakness (chocolate covered cherries) and I manage to save the groove. The camera? Not so much! Lol!
