About Toblerone

  1. I like the trio piece, nice musical chemistry. I've not been performing live with other players so much recently, just getting over a back problem and been practising and writing like crazy
  2. If anyone's interested, I've posted a link in the 'let's hear it' thread in which I'm playing my edited Rhodes sound from the VR09 via an 88 note board.
  3. Hi, just wanted to share a little tribute to the great Vince Guaraldi, one of my all time favourites. The Rhodes sound is from my Roland VR09 played on my Yamaha P105 using a Kenton Midi to USB box.
  4. Having spent a lot of time with my VR09 recently, I have to say that I absolutely love this board. Once you dial in the sounds to your liking, it sounds superb. Even the electric pianos, which I initially felt we're weak, I now have sorted and I find very usable, especially when played on a weighted action. It has its quirks, but I think it's a real gem.
  5. That's good to know, thanks for the reply.
  6. I'm not sure if I've unearthed a new fault or whether this is a specific fault with my unit. I've recently bought a VR09 and for the most part I'm very impressed. Organ is pretty decent, synth good, piano ok, electric pianos are the weakest part in my opinion. One thing I've noticed is that when I have percussion selected, the top harmonic drawbar doesn't work at all, whilst all the others do. On my Nord C1 it does work so I'm not sure if this a VR09 quirk or perhaps mine is faulty? I'd be interested to here from other owners on this.
