  1. Midiflow definitely looks like a competent tool to keep in the iOS toolbox, and yes, the curve tool indeed looks very useful! Great price as well!!!
  2. Totally with you about your thoughts, there will be plenty of us who will continue doing what we love, maybe we'll use AI in some way as another tool in the toolbox, but as some clever person expressed it, AI can't create on it's own, and it can't come up with new concepts, ideas, etc. it only follow pre-learned patterns... I get the feeling that the "fear" of generative AI is just a silly hype, subconscious and/or conscious, feeding content to drive views and clicks on social media, YouTube, and whatnot, drama drama drama!
  3. This board has turned my world completely upside down, I am truly happy for the action, and in addition it has made my PC3 feel more like a synth, which it obviously is, with really great keys and action, now testing changing the PC3 curve from Hard3 to PianoTouch, so far this feels even better, more responsive, even when playing non Piano style sounds...
  4. Hey @Jeff Engbrecht how did it go in the end for you?
  5. Compromise in AUM would be to have one Channel where Module runs the app, ie. for Piano to be able to use the curve, and then use AUv3 for the rest, tested it here, works perfect. Though of course if you need the curve modified on other things than Piano then this wont help you. I have my curve slightly modified too so the absolutely lightest touch on the keyboard actually don't make any sound at all, it made the feeling quite a bit more real.
  6. Much less hassle for their kids to handle a bank account than the estate of the brand... (not talking about the ad...)
  7. Fatar TP/9P(iano) a semi weighted fairly light bed with AT, and good thing indeed that you get a bunch of decent sounds too for when needed.
  8. Just watch out for the Keylab 88 that does NOT have Essential in the name, as that is a hammer action Fatar TP100/LR, heavy stuff, no idea what the bed is in the Essential.
  9. Yeah 73-76 non weighted is dry, I'd try to find a used A37 in good condition then.
  10. Nothing new fits the bill afaik, apart from something like a Korg Krome 73 or ditto. Used, a Roland A37 would probably be a good choice.
  11. Well, let's start here: https://www.statista.com/outlook/amo/media/music-radio-podcasts/digital-music/music-streaming/worldwide#revenue We're still just in the beginning of streaming, so I can imagine they've forcasted increasting royalties for the coming decade, and for sure, they will re-launch the brand (Queen) in various ways to assure growth of new consumers as well, be so sure!
  12. Among things, merchandise rights are included as well, you can be sure they have a pretty good idea about how to exploit this brand and get their ROI, and sum, pretty darn quick!
  13. Just wait until SONY creates a once in a lifetime Queen live show in the MSG Sphere...
  14. Well, looking for great piano sounds and electromechanic keys, I, without hesitation, see these two as contenders, maybe not head to head, but in the space of providing serious sounds for players using iOS, definitely! If you look further than "the prices are not in the same range", and instead think about "what would I be prepared to pay for something I feel pleased with", it's still competition, some of us won't mind paying a bit more to get the "next level" experience. The reason is not that KORG is a cheaper product, but because Pianoteq sounds and feel lightyears better.
  15. Following the trend the last weeks I am now sharing one of my favourite YouTubers, who talks about the subject and gives some interesting perspectives.
  16. I grabbed a used Kawai F10 H sustain pedal, will be interesting to see if it is possible to set up the SL73 to react on half pedaling sustain. I have no experience with this since before, but I found that one used for 12€ as new and read up about it, interesting to investigate, and no matter what it seems to be a nice pedal anyway!
  17. I've been spending the last days here evaluating KORG Module with the Piano Essential Pack and the demo of the Modartt Pianoteq, and there are no doubts where I will swipe my card big time. The KORG Module sounds good, sometimes almost great, but even after tweaking and creating presets that responds and sounds the way I like (Piano) I still feel something's missing. Then I open the Pianoteq and just start to play, any ol' factory preset will do, and it's just head on the nail, the sound, the feel, the vibe, I get excited and start playing out and losing myself in it, hard to explain, it's connecting with me. I just spent 20 minutes instinctively jamming blues after starting out browsing presets, felt just like I was sitting by a nice piano and I got totally lost in it, I'm not even a good blues pianist (I'm not a great "pianist" for the record), but it just worked, it turned me on, and it sounded really great!!!
  18. Even cooler would be an AI patch generator that is synth agnostic, "Synth: Roland D50, Sound: Strings that would be suitable for a murder scene in the scottish hills".
  19. Regarding the TP/100LR I would assume they have updated something in that keybed since the beginning of it, I read so many bad reviews of that bed and I definitely feel this to be out of proportion to it. In saying that, I'm a big viking with huge hands and fingers, never been known for having light hands, this may be in play (no pun intended) as well.
  20. The SL88 Grand as far as I have been able to dig up should be using the same action as the Studio version, but instead with wooden keys. EDIT: Specs say TP/40 Wood so above mention is not 100%, unless TP/40 Wood has the same mechanics as the TP/100LR which I would find strange.... After further research it seems the TP/40 action is a lighter Hammer Action, supposedly Fatar's lightest HA, while (evidently) TP/100 is on the heavier side.
  21. England didn't do an amazing cup so far imho, I would bet Spain vs Netherlands....
  22. Great, all the engagement we're stealing from his channel! 🤣🤣🤣
  23. We would all instead be YouTube entrepreneurs with music as the bait for sensationalism, and all music forums would become swamped with heated conversations about us, our persona, our halo, instead of interesting music related topics, and we would all become filthy rich!
  24. Yeah, please beat the H out of them!!!
  25. Totally with you here, great teams, great football, great match! I favoured Spain for imho being a bit more alert and energetic, but as a whole the game felt very even!
