No b, you posted a picture of Scottie Pippin.

How tight did you zoom in on that photo?? Was Scottie in the crowd in New Jersey??? I didn't even see him there. Was he cheering for the Lakers? I wonder if Kobe saw him before he started reading the "Sweep" article??

True. It does seem that the world champions deserve 1000 posts of glory. Plus, as a result of the NBA and NHL threads, my personal post count here has skyrocketed. I could care less about that, but it is a side effect.

You know, they say everyone loves a parade. I must not be in that "everyone" group. In as much as I'd have loved to be there to give my respects to the three-peating champions of the NBA, I did not feel like dealing with the 1,000,000+ people who also wanted to see them.

So, I stayed at work today and worked. As a result, the Lakers got to see one less fan, you you all get one more TASCAM ad and some new stuff on our web sites. Who got the better end of that deal? You be the judge. ;)

Shaq, Kobe, and Phil guaranteed a FOUR-peat. See you there next year. :thu:

Don't worry, you'll have a chance to go during any of the next 10 years. This downtown L.A. championship parade is now an annual event. :D

I hear he's planning on hitting the weight room hard all summer, and will come in at 400lbs of pure muscle. Watch out, Vlade.

Steadyb, need some help pushing this thread to 1000? Hmmm, what can I say? Oh, I know. I prefer the Lakers to win the NBA over UCLA winning the NCAA any day. For that matter the Lakers are no where near the top of my "I hate to see them win again" list. That would be

1. UCLA (Basketball)

2. North Carolina (Basketball)

3. Duke (Basketball)

4. Yankees

5. Miami (College football)

6. Florida State (College football)

7. Indiana (College Basketball)

8. Tie - Ohio State (Anything)

8. Tie - Lakers

Cool.

Mine would be:

1. Oakland Raiders

2. Yankees

3. Dallas Cowboys

4. Atlanta Braves

5. Miami (College football)

6. Florida State (College football)

7. Indiana (College Basketball)

8. Canada (hockey)

9. Mexico (soccer)

10. Whoever Dan South is cheering for. (but they never win anyway) :P

My hate list

1. LA Lakers...and it's a long way down to number...

2. Dallas Cowboys, and then an even longer trip down to the rest:

Oak. Raiders

BoSox (Yanks traiditonal. I actually rather like the current Red Sox, though I can't say that to my Yankee brethren else I'd be accused of being a flase fan)

Wash. Redskins

Phil. Eagles

Indiana Hoosiers

Hmmm. Maybe Georgetown when they're good. Or:

UCONN

So it's come to this, huh?

Jeff's "I will root for any team/person playing against these guys" list:

1. Colorado Avalanche

2. Denver Broncos

3. Sacramento Kings

4. NY Yankees

5. Dallas Cowboys

6. Mike Tyson

7. Atlanta Braves

8. SF 49ers

9. Phil Mickelson

10. I have no 10.

Before anyone thinks I have some personal vendetta against the state of Colorado, let me tell you: it just so happens that I'm a Raiders fan (making me a natural enemy of the Broncos) and an L.A. Kings hockey fan (whose team has been taken out of the payoffs by the Avs for a few years in a row).

Phil Mickelson? Are you kidding me? What's to hate about the best golfer to never win a major? Why hate the Tiger meat instead of the Tiger? Is this something personal, Jeff? Did you have a "thing" with Amy?
