surfjunkie
they don't predict any series to go to 5 games? and only one upset? anyone in the east can win any of those matchups, even the teams playing without their stars. now you'll think i'm crazy- seattle could beat the spurs.duncan will do his thing, but payton will destroy parker. things look good if rashard lewis can play and the sonics' big guys just show up (drobnjak was decent in the last two weeks, and radmanovic can shoot 3's as long as he can walk). i love the nba playoffs! surfjunkie
by the way- i think i hear a "but they'll just lose to the lakers" coming- i agree. of course LAL is the best team by far and heavily favored, but just enjoy the playoffs! there is the potential for some great play and good drama. RABid
I'm picking Boston over Philly for some reason. Hmmm. Iverson or Walker. Hard to say which one I like better. Robert This post edited for speling. My Sweetwater Gear Exchange Page

meccajay
Celts look good, nice way to put there (new)names on the map. Not sure the great effort will last because Iverson will have his legs by game 3. Maybe thats too late, we'll see! TROLL . . . ish.

not coaster MODERATOR
Good game tonight for thew Jazz. They had a bunch of guys in double figures. The Kings were supposed to win this one in 3. The Jazz looked tough in game 1 too. On to SLC... go lakers...
Roto
Since when does the first round have to last 2 weeks? I just found out the other day that after game 2 on Monday, game 3 is on Saturday and game 4 is next Wednesday for the Sonics/Spurs series! That's loony! We won't have a champ until the end of June. Unless we adopt the "Steady proposition" and award the Lakers the next five at once. Football regular season is 17 games. We sat through 82 games of great basketball but now when the games really count big each team has vacation time between them. It's loony. I'm crazy for basketball...I've been watching ALL the games...drives my wife nuts. Lakers should be playing tonight...really last night. http://www.youtube.com/notesleb
Roto
The only time there are 5 days off during the season is the All Star break. It just seems strange to me to do that in the playoffs JUST so you can have 2 games per day. You have to be a pretty hard core NBA fan if you want to watch every game of every series, especially the first round.
Jeff Klopmeyer
Man, Celtics look terrific right now. But I'm having to go with our pal Steadyb on this one...Lakers three-peat forthcoming. RABid
This is no worse than the NCAA tournament schedule. What idiot fixes a schedule so two east cost teams start a game at 10:30 PM EST but two west cost teams start at 7:30 EST? Robert This post edited for speling. Jeff, I thought this too, and maybe there's a chance, but damn, Sacramento looks soooooooo weak right now, they barely won game 1 and looked hopeless in game 2. Maybe the old men in Utah have found there way finally....Im hoping the Kings recover nicely and find there strength, if not, even if they beat Utah they'll be easy pickings in the next round. Wouldn't it be incredible if Utah actually won the West?!!! Unlikely but damn B-Ball could get a more storybook ending. BTW, poor poor K.G. and the Timberwolves, I feel so bad for them.... surfjunkie
man, detroit looked great the other day. they could be conference champs. they've got the 6th man of the year, defensive player of the year, and probably coach of the year too. but then there's paul pierce- i think right now there is no better clutch guy in the game. in the 4th quarter, his fg% goes way up. if you foul him, his shot will probably go in anyway.
