  1. If you’re just looking at a solution for Midi data I highly recommend these - not super expensive and work well: https://www.cme-pro.com/widi-premium-bluetooth-midi/ (no affiliation, just a happy customer)
  2. Damn … total shock. Very sad news. RIP Jeff Beck.
  3. Just adding to what others have already said. I’ve been using SLM for several years now (with the add-ons) and it works great. The one or two times I’ve had issues Arlo (the sole developer) has been very responsive. I use a combination of pdf files, mp3s (that I trigger for song sample intros), jpgs, midi patch changes, and text files with lyrics, chords, etc and it all works with one button press while playing and scrolling through songs is a breeze as well as setting up setlists. Highly recommended.

  5. One thing to test is whether it hangs with just you up and running (no bass player). Then bring up other equipment and see if you can tell when it begins acting “squirrelly”. I don’t know how quickly you would be able to tell if notes are hanging so it might take some patience troubleshooting it.
  6. Any new electronics or network hardware added nearby recently?
  7. Great read. Thanks for that. I never knew the story behind it. Adding that album to my playlist now!
  8. Lots of options here - I have one of their wireless midi products: https://www.cme-pro.com/u6-midi-pro-usb-midi-interface-routing-filter/
  9. Hmmmm … not quite ready to mortgage the house yet 🤣
  10. I just checked and I have the same version as you Reese … 1.3. It doesn’t let me update it either. My iPad is the first gen iPad Pro (not sure what year) but I have updated to iOS 16 yesterday with no issues so it’s completely up to date with everything else. I’ll admit that while I have this app installed I haven’t used it much other that just playing around briefly to go through the sounds but it does seem like a good app. Hopefully the dev can figure out what’s causing the updates to fail to roll out to all users.
  11. I looked at Fusion Bags as well but was unable to find a dealer in the USA. The manufacturer has them in their site as available but they’re located in England if I’m not mistaken and the high price of shipping to the US was the thing that kept me from getting one. They look good from specs but I’ve never seen one in person.
  12. Have you looked at WIDI products, like these? They might be able to help eliminate cables. https://www.cme-pro.com/widi-master/ https://www.cme-pro.com/widi-jack/
  13. Is this one of you here? Well done! https://www.ksnblocal4.com/2022/08/28/strolling-piano-hit-nebraska-state-fair/
  14. Love seeing them live … been many years since I saw them here in DC area but was a great show then. Enjoy!
  15. I’m not near it at moment but I’m pretty sure it’s this one: APC UPS it’s a beast (heavy!) but I’d rather have it with me than not. I had found some videos about opening them and it wasn’t too bad really (both of mine are long out of warranty so not worried about voiding that). I try to take pix of everything as I’m opening it to make sure I put it back like I found it and don’t end up with an “extra screw” or something like that lol. If you can handle a screwdriver you can probably handle getting inside both of them. If I can find those vids I’ll try to post a link to them if it will help.
  16. I gig w/ Forte and PC361 regularly for past couple years and I’ve been using an UPS for each gig, as well as in my house and it seems to keep them both happy (hope I don’t jinx myself lol). I love the actions of both as well. Aside from clean power the UPS provides it keeps everything up and running in case of power blips which do occur on my outdoor gigs occasionally and this seems to work well for me thus far. I’ve also opened them both up over the years and reseated connectors to make sure they aren’t loosening up from moving them as well (I had an issue with PC361 in particular before UPS that seemed to be fixed after doing this) and I used deoxit on connectors too. Hopefully this can be of some help. All the best…
  17. Damn …. RIP Dave Smith … my one keyboard regret was selling my P5 20 years ago … his legacy will live on
  18. Also check that Background App Refresh is turned off for that app (and any other app that you don't want running when not showing on main screen being used): Go to SETTINGS >> GENERAL >> BACKGROUND APP REFRESH Just make it so it's not showing GREEN (on) on that screen.
  19. So sorry for your loss, David. Sending thoughts and prayers your way.
  20. Also check out Korg iM1 and Moog Music has Minimoog Model D app … both are for iOS … I don’t have first hand experience using midi controllers with them but they both have a variety of bass sounds that might do the trick.
  21. Just saw this ... Not sure if it is for Forte only (that's what I have) but here's the link ... https://kurzweil.com/forte/?fbclid=IwAR3lX54oe-5JpnScfRzUZDY2K-Ij9EkF5i8W4LGWUcOweRYRXxM6gY81zTs#downloads I have't tried it yet but hope to over the coming weekend.
  22. I also use a Key Largo and run into these same situations with mono/stereo FOH. The option I use is to just plug a single left/mono output from my keys (I currently use Kurzweil and Korg) into the Key Largo Left/Mono channel input and it seems to work fine for me. YMMV depending on your keys used, etc. Per the Key Largo manual online: "CH-1, 2, 3 The design begins with 1⁄4” TS (tip-sleeve) inputs that allow you to connect up to three stereo keyboards at once. The Key-Largo has tons of headroom so it can handle your hottest keyboard outputs, and it features individual level controls to balance the signal levels of each instrument. For mono keyboards, simply connect to the left input only – the Key-Largo will automatically route the signal to both the left and right outputs."
  23. Setlistmaker is awesome and does pretty much anything I"ve needed to do, including pdf, commenting/marking up a pdf, typing my own chords, notes, lyrics, etc. it even has sample playback and extensive midi control (which I admit I haven"t used a whole lot other than patch changes). The guy that wrote it, Arlo, is very good at answering support questions and gets changes/fixes posted regularly. Highly recommended. (I"m not affiliated in any way) â¦.here"s a link for more info: http://www.setlistmaker.com
  24. Yes you are correct - Tethering isn"t device specific so as long as your current phone allows it and has that functionality it should work.
