  1. Any reason you couldn"t just take the headphone out of mixer into the Mac 1/8' connection for that other output?
  2. Stoken6 - check out this thread from Dave Bryce today - Sounds like it may do what you want .... https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/3035160/gonew/1/real-time-remote-collaboration-with-high-quality-audio#UNREAD
  3. ..... and now Maryland has now followed suit closing restaurants, bars, theatres and gyms effective 5pm today .... fun times ahead.
  4. Due out March 12 now per his website ... very intrigued ... https://oz-soft.com
  5. quote : 'that being two sets of separate Outputs, allowing total and dedicated split of your board (great for LH bass players like me, who want to run the bass parts separately into a bass amp, etc).'/quote http://kurzweil.com/content/image/product_detail/310/medium/img_0519.jpg Maybe I"m missing something but this pic from Kurzweil"s website of the back of the PC4 shows 2 distinct set of outputs (labeled 'A' and 'B'). I think this would do what you want (split bass out one and right hand sound out another)?
  6. Just a head"s up - it"s now available for download: http://kurzweil.com/product/forte/downloads/ Haven"t downloaded myself yet ...
  7. Damn ... Cars was my first concert ... early 80"s ... RIP Ric...
  8. Really enjoy seeing projects like this ... can"t wait to see more updates ... thanks for sharing the details
  9. Excellent rundown! Thank you for sharing. Looks like a fun gig!
  10. Really inspiring seeing your paint projects, David. Too many great ideas and not enough time in my day lol ... I guess I'll settle for living vicariously through you :-)
  11. Having almost exact same issue with my Forte still under warranty ... sent it in to American Music and Sound (Jam Industries) and Forte has been non functional since February and still trying to get it resolved ... first time I took it out to gig loud static from every output, including headphones and Aux A and Aux B ... swapped cables (TRS) with ones working with other Kurzweil with same issues... power supplied was conditioned with Furman and I also tested using a 1500kva UPS with line conditioning just to make sure power was not issue (my other Kurzweil PC361 worked perfectly fine) ... even with nothing plugged into the Forte but headphones the noise was extremely loud and was unusable so I ended up getting thru gig with PC361 luckily ... the regular sound tech at the venue said he could also hear radio broadcasts coming thru my Forte when he was running the mains with his headphones on as well as them loud crackling static ... I made an appointment to take it to local Kurzweil repair facility and the tech ran it for several days (had it for a week) and said he could find nothing wrong with it ... I explained it was also an intermittent issue thus making it difficult to troubleshoot but that the issue needs to be repaired ... they wouldn"t do anything else so I picked it up last week and contacted AMS/Jam Industries to get this resolved since it is not reliable for gigging at all ... ... I"m waiting to hear back from AMS (Jam Industries I think now?) to see what they want me to do at this point ... weird thing is it was working fine (no noise) in my home studio but first gig I took it out to it failed and was useless .... very frustrating to say the least ... feel free to PM me if you want ... (might be helpful to others to have it here rather than PM?) /end rant
  12. RIP Aspen ... good guy ... i was an early adopter and I bought the Spacestation V3 when it was first released a couple years ago (I have one of the first batches) and emailed him a tech question and he gave me his cell number to call him so we could chat ... yeah, his CELL number! Who does that? Thanks for your great products and support ... you will be missed ...
  13. Got it all apart and found the offending loose screw stuck to some electrical tape bundling some other wires in there ...I was also able to find where it came from and put it back ... it was a very easy task but, as others above have mentioned, just make sure you keep track of which screws came out of which parts since they are not all identical ... all is well now ... thanks all! Heres a link to some pix if anyone is interested in what it looks like inside the Forte (also a pic of the loose screw and where it came from): Forte innards
  14. So I was easily able to take end caps off with no hassle but of course whatever was loose inside is nowhere to be found (probably wedged into a crevice somewhere) so ill be taking the rest apart today to find it and get to see whats under the hood of this baby! Saga to be continued ... TechEverlasting- Ive had a PC361 for probably 5 years or so and have been fortunate to have not had any screws come loose on it (yet) ... I have taken the end cap off once to replace it when it was cracked from a short fall while in the shaft case and that was also very easy to replace ... other than that its been rock solid ... hope I didnt just jinx myself lol ...
  15. All good tips ... thanks MoodyBluesKeys ...
  16. Yeah thats a good point ... Ill begin the hunt for it tonite and fingers crossed it will be easy to locate it and figure where it came from ... its gonna drive me nuts if I have to just remove it not knowing the origin lol ... thanks!
  17. Brad - you rock! Thanks for that detailed info and taking the time to post it! This is what makes KC great! Reezekeys - I agree it should have been noticed when shipping back to me, but stuff happens so hopefully its something simple and everything will be back together in short order ... also, I'm at the end of warranty period on this anyway so Im not concerned with voiding it at this point ... thank you for the reply...
  18. Thanks Tom, I though of that too but the one near me here in Baltimore told me it could take up to a week to get it back to me ... I just figured if it was easy enough to just open it up myself I could save time and do it myself ... just wasnt sure if there was some special/weird things I needed to know about opening it up that could present an issue DIY ... hoping someone here has already done it and can let me know if its not too much trouble to do ... your advice is much appreciated and i may end up doing just what you said if nobody has already done it ... thanks again!
  19. I received my Forte back after having some warranty service performed on it and there is something rattling around inside that sounds like possibly a screw or nut rolling around ... Ive contacted Kurzweil and they issued an RMA for it so I could send it back but Im in Maryland and the Kurzweil service center is in Mississippi so Id rather see if I can just open it up myself without having to pack it up and ship it back there just for what could be a very simple thing. Ive never attempted to open it before (Ive opened some of my Korg and Yamaha keyboards before though) so was wondering if any of you have and if so is there anything too difficult doing it as DIY? I was trying to locate a service manual (or video on youtube) that would be able to show the process of taking it apart but had no luck, so if anyone has access to one or was able to find one would you be willing to let me know where you found it and/or share any parts of it? Thank you all for any help! Btw - I like the new forum ... thanks for the hard work ... just wanted to say its much appreciated!
  20. Yup there are dedicated buttons below screen and you can have the favorite names displayed as one of the default screen layouts .... works really well from my own experience, as well as my pc361 but doesnt make you switch into QA mode - the favorites are always there ready to be pressed and used in any mode ... (my apologies- I dont mean to hijack this thread - we should start new one)
  21. AnotherScott - yeah the Forte uses what they now call Favorites which allow single button access to any 10 multi or programs, similar to QA mode on my PC361. There are I think at least 16 banks of these that you can create. Very convenient and easy to setup and use live.
  22. I gotta chime in here as well about Aspen and his customer support - I had something rattling inside mine and contacted Aspen about it (it ended up being something very simple to fix that was loose inside) ... Aspen was very quick to respond and he had even given me his cell # so that I could contact him to get everything squared away ... who else does that? He gets my highest recommendation for his product and support! Thanks Aspen! I can think of quite a few other companies that would do well to follow your lead!
