Well, that was a touch more prophetic than I cared to be.... ;)

Major carnage...more than half gone, and at least one more sure elimination tomorrow night.

Y'know, whenever I describe this pool to someone who's never heard of it, they always look at me like I'm crazy. I smile and nod and say, "Yeah, it sounds easy, doesn't it? Just one winner...no point spread. It's actually a lot harder than you thinks".

Carnage indeed. And while Miami's loss booted me from the pool, I'm pretty darned thrilled about the NYG win over the Rams. I don't know if that was a national game, but if you didn't see it, the Giants rang Warner's bell repeatedly and stifled Faulk. Warner fumbled 5 times! (lost 3) If it weren't for an exceptional catch by Torry Holt, they wouldn't even had reached the endzone. The Giants O was sloppy, but that will improve.

Talk about a jumpstart! I'm very psyched for the NYG season now.

Hey, you were the leader that got us in to this. The first one to pick Miami. The one that knows football. The one so many of us thought would last the week. And so we follow our fearless leader and where does it get us? .....

Ok. So when I picked Miami I thought no one else had picked them, and I foolishly stated that in a post. I admitted that I did not see anyone else pick them even though you were at the top of the list. But even if getting booted the first week was all my fault, it feels better to blame someone else. ;)

WOW  Definate carnage so far. Its half time with the Titan/Raider game and I still look good so far. I'm a little concerned that Tennessee lost their regular field goal kicker in the first half and that first extra point could be prophetic by the end of the game. Well, got to find out if I'm still in this thing after thirty more minutes. nitecrawler

The Raiders go DOWN!!!by five. I really do enjoy tight games, although this one had more penalties than it should have. Still, it was an enjoyable game to watch, especially since the Raiders have to enjoy the sour taste of defeat. Go Broncos! nitecrawler

I'll take Oakland for week 2.
**Standard Disclaimer** Ya gotta watch da Ouizel, as he often posts complete and utter BS. In this case however, He just might be right. Eagles may soar, but Ouizels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Chuztpah award of the week goes to Rader Ranch for that Buffalo call. Not only on target but with a venegeance! As if we were all ignoramuses for not seeing that one coming!

I vow to keep an eye out on this thread in case it's emtied out in the early weeks of the season and we start it up again soon, as has been known to happen. :freak:

Yep. IIRC, two years ago we lost the majority of the field in Week 1 and everyone else went out in Week 2. We started again, I believe...

If were all done after 2 or 3 weeks, this time maybe we do a standard pool(with or without point spread). That way, at least we all get to participate til the end. Wht do U guys think?
