LeesKeys
Here's what I need: 2 tier stand that can be assembled/disassembled in 10 minutes or less for gigging Heavy duty stand not needed: I'm using 2 midi controllers which weigh around 18 lbs each. Open floor space- in other words, not an X stand. Prefer that height of top tier is adjustable Overall heigh adjustment suitable for standing or sitting (I'm 5' 10") I've owned the K&M Spider Pro in the past. Too heavy and like I said my keyboards and lightweight. Also X stands- I want more leg/foot room. I've been looking at the Rockville Z45w- https://www.amazon.com/Rockville-Z45W-Z-Style-Keyboard-Adjustable/dp/B0BR8Q5215/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=rockville%2Bkeyboard%2Bstand&sr=8-5&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.18ed3cb5-28d5-4975-8bc7-93deae8f9840&th=1 Liquid Stands- https://www.amazon.com/Liquid-Stands-Piano-Keyboard-Stand/dp/B0C7WM9GSH/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=rockville+keyboard+stand&sr=8-1-spons&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.18ed3cb5-28d5-4975-8bc7-93deae8f9840&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1#customerReviews and this Griffin model- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004THB8OW/ref=sspa_dk_detail_4?psc=1&s=home-garden&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWxfdGhlbWF0aWM#customerReviews Thoughts? cphollis
I own a couple of these: https://www.staymusicstands.com/products/supports-for-keyboards/ Pros: nothing lighter quick assembly/disassembly looks great on stage in colors (red!) Cons: lighter keyboards only foot space takes some planning (multiple small pedal groups vs. big pedalboard) limited distribution I use the piano model for acoustic gigs, and the two tier "tower" config on occasion. My main stand is a Spider Pro. Quote Want to make your band better? Check out "A Guide To Starting (Or Improving!) Your Own Local Band"
LeesKeys
Interesting- kind of a Spider Pro, but for lighter weight keyboards. Looks like it's available through Amazon for $274. Depending on where I look, I'm seeing different numbers for the weight of the stand -anywhere from 3.7 kg (8lbs) to 8 kg (18 lbs). Which do you think is more accurate? cphollis
Depends on the exact stand, number of arms, etc. The body is extruded aluminum, the arms are cast metal and the heavier bits. Paul Woodward
Can recommend the K&M 18880 and 18881. Weigh just a few kilos but can take up to 50kg. Nice stands and you can easily add a third tier or tablet holder. I found the second tier to be much too tall so I used a Sawzall to trim the legs down to about 1/3 their original height. I don't want to be totally hidden by the upper keyboard! Just a little bit. AnotherScott
That K&M 18880 (with either the 18881 or 18882 stacker) has been my long-time main recommendation for most situations. Around 10 lbs, and you don't need anything like 10 minutes to set it up or break it down, more like 15 seconds. The only thing about it that is slow is when you have to make the "overall height adjustment suitable for standing or sitting" but even then, you can certainly do it within 10 minutes, probably under 5 once you've done it a few times... and a lot faster than that if you get some knobs and follow the advice given in the thread at https://forums.musicplayer.com/topic/180208-another-stand-thread/ (described in what is currently the last post, mine from Feb 14 2023). It's been discussed in lots of threads. Some others with good general stand discussion are these... https://forums.musicplayer.com/topic/174398-keyboard-stands-its-an-illness-gas/ https://forums.musicplayer.com/topic/183214-does-anyone-have-the-lightweight-k-m-keyboard-stand-18880/ 2 Quote Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Paul Woodward
As discussed in that thread you linked, the K&M tablet holder clamp fits perfectly into the 18881 second tier. 2 Quote Korg Grandstage 73, Mac Mini M1, Logic Pro X (Pigments, Korg Legacy Collection, Wavestate LE, Sylenth), iPad Pro 12.9 M2 (6th gen), Scarlett 2i2, Presonus Eris E3.
kpl1228
If you can find an old Invisible stand from the 80s and 90s (they're out there used but it's tough) that's the winner. Two tiers and so easy, and it's called Invisible for a reason. I have one and it's fantastic and it's my go-to. 1 Quote Roland RD-2000, Yamaha Motif XF7, Mojo 61, 2 Invisible keyboard stands (!!!!!), 1939 Martin Handcraft Imperial trumpet "Everyone knows rock music attained perfection in 1974. LeesKeys
Just talked to my rep at Sweetwater. These items are backordered with K&M and it could be months before I receive them! Glad I have an X stand I can use in the meantime.

Which do you think is more accurate? I can help here the lighter ones are the Stay Compact (single tier) and Stay Slim (2 tier). Both can hold 20 kg maximum but says 10kg per tier on the Slim but I assessed that as both use the same tower and legs then it can handle a max of 20kg. Made for 61 note keyboards but I use an 88note Casio Px330 (11.5kg) on it. I have placed an 8kg keyboard above that too and it was fine but i didnt play that much to test. In Brazil where they are made they are sold as a standard combo with a PX5s etc. Handles the 11.5kg of my PX330 really well but still some bounce as with any bazooka stand. Very high quality stand. The 7 to 8kg is the larger bazooka stand called the Stay Tower and handles more weight. Its more akin to the other brand Bazooka stands like the Apex and is meant for 76 note keyboards. They sell a piano stand that utilizes 2 of the uprights from a Slim stand for use with heavy pianos. The Slim i have is so light at 3 odd kg and i feel as stable as my old Apex stand but half the weight with a quick setup.
ewall08530
Pricey but sturdy. Super quick set-up and tear down. Fairly easy to adjust heights for table and upper tier.
Rustar
I recently purchased this stand second hand for my Yamaha P515 because I wanted to replace my x stand. Turns out this stand is rock solid. It’s like the keyboard is sitting on a concrete table. It’s rated up to 250 lbs. You have maximum leg room. The second tier is too tall for me but I won’t be using it anyway. I’ve never heard of this brand, but highly recommend it. Quote Yamaha P-515, Hammond SK1, Casio PX5s, Motif ES rack, Kawai MP5, Kawai ESS110, Yamaha S03, iPad, and a bunch of stuff in the closet. D. Gauss
these are $50 bucks, light, set up in 2 secs, and solid as heck. there's a second tier option somewhere but don't have a link (be careful not to get the the one for the Z stand tho). https://www.amazon.com/Knox-Universal-Portable-Accordion-Adjustable/dp/B0798TYT75
Stokely
^ I was thinking of getting one of those, with an upcoming "porchfest" gig where the goal is super light and quick setup. However, my Omega Pro has a mic stand adapter so it means I only need to bring a boom. I do have an onstage mic boom adapter that fits into a stand tube end--wonder if that will fit into those tubes above? They look pretty small.
