Any cool Christmas gifts?

I'll start with this one. I found a Hammond L111 at the Salvation Army for $49. I had the money, but no way to get it home, as I can't drive. This past Monday, I was surprised by a younger couple from church, with this beautiful L111 in the back of his truck. He said that on Mondays, furniture was 50% off, so it was only around $25. It's in great shape, sounds great, now I just need a Leslie, and a connection kit for it!

We each open one present on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas day. We have not opened ours yet today, but yesterday I got an RCA Android Tablet!

I will keep you advised.

Congratulations on the $25 find and your generous Santa and elves who brought it to you!

Congratulations on the cool stuff received to all here so far!

Justin -- right on! A perfect starter Hammond.

Please replace the run motor capacitor if it is original. These can explode at their age if you are unlucky. And they are made with PCBs...

Is that an easy job, and how much would it cost to replace?

My highlight is a Zoom H5.

Those look very nice, Eric. I just got a H1 for cheap. Use them at work but never tried one yet at home. Time will tell. Anyway, I'm excited about this. Didn't expect it before Christmas but Chris Carroll surprised me. It's a drop in replacement pre amp for my E7 with 3 band EQ and selectable auto wah. Won't get a chance to install it until Monday though.

Tickets to see Mel Brooks present Blazing Saddles, then give a talk about it...

...and Springsteen tix for The River tour.

Dave. Is the Mel Brooks thing happening in LA?

Easy replacement, two solder joints and one screw. Cheap, too.

Are you in the U.S.? Order from tonewheel general hospital, get house brand Hammond oil too.

Thanks Dave!.. Ya Elmer.. I've had it since Monday.. didn't get much sleep Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (lol). It's replacing my Jupiter 50 as my top tier. I spent those days programming patches for my shows. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I could navigate it. I feel like I now have no limitations with my Electro 5D on the bottom. So happy with my rig. I will say though that sonically.. the Jupiter sounded a touch better... don't know if it's the DA converters or what. But of course on the whole.. the Kronos is just killer!

Thousand Oaks.

that's almost the same distance from Baltimore to Washington DC (LA to Thousand Oaks). Doesn't look too far on paper but can be an eternity depending on traffic.

I've been working on a reliable solution for backtracks and click tracks, and in the Joeco BBR I believe I've found it, so I got my third (!!!) BBR for Xmas. I'm going to use two for backtracks (they have internal relays and can run in tandem) and one as an ultra-portable 24-ch recorder using my Apollo and two Behringer ADA8200 as preamps... :-)
