  1. Matt Redman has written some good books on Worship and the musician. Works like "The Unquenchable Worshipper" are good resources especially for those new to this sort of thing. It helps one get centered around the concept, the heart, the purpose, etc.
  2. Dude.... Move to Indy and be on my worship team! It would be better if you moved to San Diego.....better beaches!
  3. I have done quite a bit of Worship service and recognize the difficulties discussed here. For me it has always been best to not be a part of leadership, but to remain simply a volunteer willing to serve as needed. If I can be a positive resource able to contribute something, great. This approach keeps me out of the body politic and the stresses associated with it. Afterall, that is what a Worship Leader is paid for. I just make sure Leadership knows I am available, humble, flexible, and willing to serve as needed. Then, when called upon, I show up at rehearsal thoroughly prepared.....patches ready, arrangements down, intros, outros, ambient stuff for prayer....that's where I put the effort.
  4. Just to clarify, the String Ensemble(Solina) was a different beast from the Omni.
  5. I got the Little Brother and the Anvil case as well....not sure any of that was free, to long ago to remember. The only issue my Ody suffered was intermittent keys making contact. A repair guy showed me how to lift the keys assembly and wipe down the 2 gold busbars with alcohol. Once every couple months took care of that.
  6. This is cool, really cool. I would like to see those pressure pads eliminated, or updated, or something.....I preferred the simple knob to those. Also, keeping the CV ins & outs like the newer ones had would be essential.
  7. I run all my boards and a QSC K12 on the LC1200. That is probably overkill! The LC1200 handles 10 Amps...that's a lot of power.
  8. I have a smallish square suitcase that it goes in with pedals and cables. Everything is snug so nothing bangs around. Oh, and I also velcroed a webbed nylon strap around it so cable fits coiled under it and it can be carried.
  9. I use one of these: http://www.tripplite.com/en/products/model.cfm?txtModelID=208 Never leave home without it
  10. This looks pretty cool! I wonder, for the sake of cable neatness, if you could open the AB200 up and hardwire the connections. Then you would just have one TRS to the input.
  11. Here is an interesting take on the life and times of J Morrison and The Doors: No One Here Gets Out Alive Lots of info from their contemporaries. Personally, I don't think JM would have made it without the Doors....Together they all formed an iconic band and relationship that happened at the right time and at the right place. They helped create an environment that many bands followed into. They will be a legendary group far beyond our lifetimes.
  12. Well, I think you are both correct.....Dave S. is establishing that the Tetra is versatile and can be used in various ways and applications. Minimally, it is 1/2 a P'08, but it also has other features as Z points out. More importantly, when chaining the Tetra with a Mopho keyboard or a P'08, there are other issues with each scenario that should be considered. 1.) The Mopho keyboard does not have the voice layering feature present in the Tetra....Mopho cannot do splits or stacks. As a control surface the Mopho cannot control these features in the Tetra. 2.) The P'08 does not have sub-oscillators or the feedback routing capabilities present in the Tetra, again as a control surface the P'08 cannot control these features in the Tetra. At a minimum these limitations should be considered when deciding on your setup.
