midinut
Starcastle - https://youtu.be/Q5Xo3plWL7E How these guys slipped under my radar all my years I'll never know. Especially considering how big a Yes fan I am. They do sound like Yes and I get that, but if you think about it, these guys could write music that sounded like Yes. That's some hard stuff to pull off! J. Dan
Guessing this won't be up most people's allies on here, but just the last week or 2 I've been on a kick I could best describe as maybe mostly 90s-00's industrial, especially some of the remixes....so harder edged electronic stuff with a mix of raw drums and electronic or sampled drum loops, distortion, but cool synth sounds. Halloween season probably helped kick it off for me as I remember putting much of this stuff into a mix for an epic Halloween party we had at the time. Anyway, playlist has been including: Marilyn Manson - "Smells Like Children" White Zombie - "Supersexy Swingin' Sounds" Various NIN songs but mostly remixes (ruiner remix, stuff off fixed, perfect drug, etc) Prodigy (mostly off Fat of the Land, but some older stuff as well) Throw in a little Ministry, Front 242, Aphex Twin, etc. Quote Dan Acoustic/Electric stringed instruments ranging from 4 to 230 strings, hammered, picked, fingered, slapped, and plucked. Analog and Digital Electronic instruments, reeds, and throat/mouth.
