  1. I like finding small software that addresses specific needs. https://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software.html
  2. While I appreciate N-Track's ability to do that, I just messed with it for a bit and it doesn't seem to do nearly as much as Cubasis does. The onboard effects are very nice. I liked what the compressor and bass amp did with some of my bass tracks. Another tool in the chest.
  3. For me it's more tempo retards at the end of ballads. Cubasis doesn't recognize MIDI tempo change commands. If there are any of them in a song that I want to record into Cubasis I cannot slave the sequencer to Cubasis with MIDI Clock. I must try to start both at the same time. Not ideal, but it gets the tempo changes into Cubasis.
  4. Fairly pedestrian until the solo. After that we get a foot solo!
  5. She doesn't start playing until around 3:25. She gets great tone.
  6. Braves just beat the world champion Rangers 8-3 on a 3-homer night from catcher Travis d'Arnaud, the third one a grand slam. He joins Johnny Bench and Gary Carter as the only catchers with multiple 3-homer games. That's an exclusive club.
  7. The White Sox should not be this bad.
  8. The host reminded me of Rick Moranis doing an SCTV character.
  9. New rant. They changed the rule so that the pitcher can only throw over to first base twice, then the runner is awarded second base. Stupidest rule in sports. How are you supposed to pick off a fast runner if he knows he can wait you out for two pitches? I say they should change it. After two free pickoff attempts, each additional throw over will add a ball to the count on the batter. If a pitcher thinks he can pick off Acuna and is willing to go 3-0 to Albies trying, he should be able to try.
  10. I've thought of doing something similar. I would love to be completely free of any one keyboard, and be able to use the iPad with anything available and still recreate my rig. Is anyone else using Cubasis? I don't see much discussion about it as a traffic cop for all your sound apps. This guy is a very good explainer.
  11. This is just devastating. This is his second Tommy John. I expect to see a parade from AAA Gwinnett: Bryce Elder, Allan Wynans, Dylan Dodd, etc. At least Reynaldo Lopez is looking good as a starter. I'm anxious to see Huascar Ynoa return and see if he has anything left in his arm. Strider to miss rest of 2024 season after UCL procedure Spencer Strider underwent surgery on Friday to repair the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow with an internal brace, which was performed by Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington, and will miss the rest of the 2024 season, the club announced on Saturday. Last Saturday, Strider underwent an MRI exam that showed damage to his UCL in his right elbow. There was no timetable announced for a return, but the internal brace procedure should allow Strider to return earlier than Tommy John surgery would have.
  12. For nearly 30 years this has been rolling around in my head but I never got around to developing it. I was going to work it up for the 20th anniversary, but didn't get around to it. "It was the 3rd of October A day I'll never get over That was the day, the jury lied" "Cowling I'm depending on you, to tell me the truth"
  13. Smells like bad sushi. Baseball is circling the wagon for their biggest star.
  14. He is a question mark no more. He's leading MLB with 14 RBI. He's also leading MLB with 21 strikeouts. He has 4 HR.
  15. I saw this thread Keys easier on arthritic fingers and decided to post this here. I've been using it for a few years. Can't swear that it has made a difference, but I believe it has. Paraffin Wax Machine for Hand and Feet
  16. PC4-7: 19.4lbs. I found the PC3 very difficult to carry. A lot of rounded hand holds.
  17. Tom Jones is an all-time favorite. His TV show was outstanding. There's a bunch on YouTube. And, I know it's the unpopular opinion, but I like his version of 'Kiss', with The Art of Noise, more than I like Prince's version. I'm glad you got to see him. Did he do 'Green, Green Grass of Home', 'Help Yourself', and 'What's New, Pussycat?'
  18. The first road band I was in, in 1980, the other keyboardist had a Juno 6. No memory slots. It sounded great. The only difference in sound generation is that the Juno 6 used pots to change parameters, while the Juno 60 had MIDI, and used 128 step digital parameters. So many great synths I wish I could get back.
  19. Is the VAST synth within a PC4 considered a real synth? If not, why not?
  20. I was just thinking that if it was 4 years ago at the height of Covid this thread title would be worrisome!
  21. I've posted this in the past, but you know what's amazing for getting duct tape (and I assume velcro) glue off? Fender Guitar Polish! If they still make it and you can find it. One spray and a wipe and it's gone. It's that good. Once, I couldn't find it and bought Martin Acoustic Guitar Polish instead. Didn't work nearly as well, and was way too oily. I just looked - they still make a guitar cleaner, but now it's in a pump spray. Mine was in an aerosol can. I don't know if the formula is the same.
