Phil W
Chad, that grooves...bass could be louder. Eric, that was fun - especially the ascending arpeggios in the chorus. I think the spacey effects would sound better if they were even more dramatic. Loved the ending. No, I wouldn't have got it before the vocals came in. Did everyone miss my post a few posts up? lug
Since everyone else here are being slackers, the punishment is one from me. This tells the tale of a pair chipmunks. Not your ordinarly pedestrian chipmunks strolling thought the forest, these are chipmunks who made it to the big city but have fallen prey to the big city's wiles. They've gone down the wrong path, saampled the nightlife, got caught up in the club scene, and are now hooked on the crack. https://www.box.com/shared/static/ids3tzcd7a.mp3 Quote You can stop now -jeremyc STOP QUOTING EVERY THING I SAY!!! -Bass_god_offspring lug, you should add that statement to you signature.-Tenstrum I'm not sure any argument can top lug's. - Sweet Willie

Stuart Clayton
Hi guys, Thought you all might like to see a new video which I recorded a few days ago. It's 'D-Code' by Alain Caron, which I've working on for a few months. Hope you like it! Stu Quote www.basslinepublishing.com

EddiePlaysBass
A track from last night's gig: Anything But Time This was recorded straight from the mixing console. I ran it through Audacity: boosted the bass and then amplified the whole lot. First time we played this track live. Needs a wee bit of work but we'll get it right, I am sure. JBFLA
EPB - I enjoyed that! Reminds me of a band I was in 10-15 years ago (albeit with female vocals). Makes me think of doing it again. Stuart - whatever new stuff you're working on, works! Thyanks for the YouTube lessons. Quote Jim Confirmed RoscoeHead
wraub
Well, here's something new from me. Recorded last night, using my Tascam digital 8 track recorder for the first time as an interface, straight to pc using Kristal AE. Really just a test of the system. Drums are our old friend, the venerable and esteemed Mac Hine. Please be kind... soundcloud Peace, wraub Quote I'm a lot more like I am now than I was when I got here. EddiePlaysBass
Just for the heck of it, here's our rendition of James Brown's "It's A Man's World": It's A Man's World [edit] When we started fooling around with this one, I played a rather busy bass line, but since then I have started stripping it completely. People (mostly other bass players) who come to our gigs sometimes accuse me of playing too few notes () but especially in this particular case, I still feel like I am overplaying  Heep brought the rawk, by the way [/edit] wraub, will have a listen tomorrow! Just got back from seeing Uriah Heep live, and I need some sleep before work tomorrow! Quote "I'm a work in progress." EddiePlaysBass
Well, here's something new from me. Groovy! Much to my surprise I dig the distorted bass tone you got going there. I like it And it seems to be stuck in my head now Quote "I'm a work in progress." Micky Barnes The Ross Brown Shirt World Tour
wraub
Thanks for the kind words, good Sir. The tone is not my normal thing, but seemed to work here, so I went with it. Glad you liked it. And, sorry about it being stuck in your head, but I guess that's why I posted it. Something about it sticks with me, also. Not bad for just goofing around. Thanks again... wraub
EPB, thanks for the new links, worked fine. Really liked "Anything but Time", appealing from the outset. Everything here works for me. Nicely played. "It's a Man's World", I must confess, I didn't like at first, and that's all on the vocals. Something just struck me as wrong in the first verse, hard to say what. However, as the song progressed, I could feel you guys jell, and this ends up a really decent version of a hard song to do well, imo. Good on you. Peace, wraub Quote I'm a lot more like I am now than I was when I got here.

Ross Brown
Paul, I would love it if I were heading to a venue for a solo/acoustic"ish" act. Seamy ALB
Some great stuff going on here. Ed the band sounds great it seems Karma is giving you a hug with this band after the DD. Wraub your track has a RATM kinda vibe going on that is a nasty tone. Stu that is just mental stuff! Paul your Billy Idol cover reminds me of a Loyd Cole kinda vibe in the vocals. Great stuff!!
