ITGITC
Wow. That's absolutely beautiful. Does it come with a Leslie? What are you going to do with it? Gig?... or put it in your living room? B3Nut
That's a lovely cherrywood B-3...that finish often commands a premium over the standard walnut finish. From the pic it sort of appears to be early 60's...got a serial number on her? Give her some fresh Hammond oil and a nice Leslie and enjoy...she's a beaut! Mint B-3's are good....but if you find one in chocolate... (if mine had a flavor, it would be fried chicken and Wild Turkey...) hehehe...congratulations! (incidentally, my B-3 came from my late great aunt's estate by way of my grandma...) Todd in Cheesecurdistan --- Todd A. Darcity
My bad, everyone she bought it new in September 1967. I have the original owner's manual and receipt!!!! The picture is in my living room at my house...never moved it into the studio yet. This organ will probably NEVER see any gigs! Anyway, it has the Hammond speaker not the Leslie though. I am getting the half moon Leslie switch put on it when they service our church organ, which btw, gave me their NEW 147 to use with it. B3Nut
If the tone cabinet is a PR-40....keep it and pair it with the Leslie. The reverb in those is gorgeous, and they really fatten up the bass, especially if you corner-load it. You're in for a treat, brother. Todd --- Todd A. kanker.
Just make sure you get the proper Leslie kit for the 147 - they aren't interchangeable with the 122's A ROMpler is just a polyphonic turntable.
