  1. Setlist maker is a great product, I've been using it for quite a few years now with the midi feature. The app was a game changer for me.
  2. I'm really looking forward to trying one of the these. I love my FA08. In addition to the tradeoffs already mentioned by AnotherScott, for those that are into sampling, the Multisample memory is only a total of approximately 256 MB Shared with Expansion titles vs 2 GB Shared with Expansion titles in the Fantom. However there was no multisampling in the FA series.
  3. Wishing you a speedy recovery Hammond Dave.
  4. Wow. Don't spend that $25 all at once Paul ð
  5. What happened Paul, Did Dave play hardball on the price lol
  6. Not much you can say to such a dumb comment. Unfortunately your guitarist is a knob.
  7. My Roland FA08 continues to serve me well. More sounds than i could ever need and as mentioned by Konnector, I layer and split for most studio sets, and there is a very comprehensive programmable synth in there.
  8. I really loved reading this post. A coming together of different generations, but all sharing in their love of music and admiration for what each individual brings to the table. Thanks for sharing. Made me smile
  9. That's awesome Darren. I still have my JX-8P from 1985. Unfortunately my PG800 was stolen. That KIWI upgrade sounds very cool. I can tell you are going to enjoy it for many many years to come.
  10. So sorry for your loss Tom. Thats a very tough week.
  11. Awesome Dave. Sounded great
  12. On Friday 7th May, I got to play a gig at a really beautiful boutique music venue called Lizottes. It was a tribute to the music of Simply Red. The venue is a great spot for dinner and live music and has hosted many many great aussie artists. It was a real treat for me to play the music of one of my favourite bands at such a lovely venue and the members of the band are all fantastic musicians. Was a highlight for me. We put the show together during last years covid lockdown and were able to play it at 2 or 3 boutique live music venues earlier in the year. Alas we are now in lockdown again in Sydney. I've tried attaching a couple of photos, not sure if they will show up. Just though I'd share
  13. This is so heartbreaking. I can't even imagine and no words seem appropriate. I'm so very sorry for your loss Grey.
  14. I use setlist maker on an Ipad but its available for Android also. http://www.arlomedia.com/apps/setlistmaker/main/home.html

  16. Great stuff Dave. Wow, the vocals...Fantastic
  17. My FA08 at 36 lbs is my maximum. In its case, its definitely as heavy as i want to carry without a trolley. When i get to a gig with stairs, I'm not happy....
  18. Loved the all aussie episode guys. I laughed when Glenn was answering the question about car crashes on stage and he explained what happened at one of those bushfire appeal concerts playing with Jon Stevens. As Glenn was answering i realized i had watched that on TV and as it was happening i remember really sympathizing with the keyboard player when i realized he was in a world of pain, he was waving his arms around, shaking his head, fiddling with buttons... every keyboard players worst nightmare
