  1. "Senses Working Overtime" by XTC. Hearing it on the radio, before I knew what the title was, I was singing along: "I've got one, two, three, four five. Six is working overtime" I always felt sorry for Six. Why the hell did the first five numbers not have to work too?
  2. Any chance you could film a video and post to YouTube so we could hear it and see it in action? That would help (although your description was good, seeing it "in real life" is always much better).
  3. How was the grand piano on the Grandmother?
  4. Honestly, sometimes I wonder how some of you people navigate through daily life. Common sense has died a brutal, idiotic death around this place. I weep for mankind.
  5. Best mini keys on the market, IMO.
  6. We're in the era of iTunes License Agreements. Nobody reads anything they're told to read anymore. I call your attention to my Don Quixote avatar as my response to this.
  7. It's a sticky. Called "READ BEFORE POSTING: Forum Policies".
  8. No, he cant. Review the forum policies. (Also, as the items are now on the market, pre-order is no longer applicable, so why torture yourself?)
  9. Where's my facepalm emoji? No, the MODX8 keybed is NOT anywhere near the same as the MONTAGE8 keybed. Why the hell anyone would even think that, given the vastly different price points, is beyond me. You be the judge: 15 MacBook Pro on top of Yamaha MODX8 by Sven Golly, on Flickr
  10. Please provide a video of you replicating the first 15 seconds of the video above using at/pressure w/exp pedal. I'll wait.
  11. You don't know many guitarists, I'm guessing?
  12. Sure they have. http://www.mesonline.com/images/working_images/invisible_kb2_mes/kb2_full_01A.jpg
  13. The point is that if it sounds like shit when collapsed to mono, then you sound like shit, but you have no idea. If you ensure that you sound good in mono, then you pretty much ensure you sound good out front. It's all about taking control of what you're going to sound like out front, assuming you're in the mix at all.
  14. Fixed. Dexibell Classico L3 is right up your alley, although it also has built-in speakers.
  15. Was it a second board or was it a third? If a third, where did you place it relative to the other two? Second board, top tier above my Kurzweil PC3. It was a last-minute situation (1 days notice) with a completely off the cuff set list (gauge the audience, play requests, etc) otherwise Id have set up splits on the Kurzweil.
  16. TL;DR, but I used my seldom-used Novation Nocture 49 into my iPad running SampleTank Pro running various bass sounds in Live Mode, and changed MIDI channels on the Nocturne manually to dial in the sound I needed. Worked just fine.
  17. You obviously weren't paying attention to the Key Largo development/release cycle. It'll get released when Radial thinks it's ready. The KL went through numerous iterations of tweak/redesign based on market feedback, so no doubt this is in the same cycle. I missed this the first time around, so I'll suggest you can get a band to play for the night for $25 per player too. Or a Big Mac is less than filet mignon. Also, that Ashley doesn't have MIDI, nor does it support dual redundant laptops via USB connections. So yeah... apples, oranges, and rutabagas, and whatnot.
  18. I played (and listened to Ralf play) the Platinum Steinway D, and compared it A/B to Ivory II. The Dexibell won, hands down, in every facet. Most impressive was the dynamics at the most gentle of ppp. Given that Fazioli is just up the road from Dexibell...
  19. Yeah, its still very much a prototype, so the manual may still need changes before it hits the streets. As for the parameters, I dont recall the S9s list, and its no longer available to me (its gone back with Ralf ), so I cant say for certain. Sorry.
  20. Well yes , but I'm feeling generous, so here you go... from the Dexibell J7 Rhodes patch: Dexibell J7 Rhodes T2L Parameters - Pg. 1 of 3 Dexibell J7 Rhodes T2L Parameters - Pg. 2 of 3 Dexibell J7 Rhodes T2L Parameters - Pg. 3 of 3
  21. When I´ve seen it, I immediatedly thought about how good it might look together w/ a white J.B. Solaris or Arturia Keylab mkII controller as the top tier keyboard. We threw an Arturia Keylab Essential on it to play the organ... looked very sharp! Forgot to snap a pic of it at the time, was having too much fun playing the damn thing. There were actually a ton of "T2L" (True To Life) parameters for the EP's... you could tweak bark, bell, hammer, pedal and release noises, etc to your heart's content... so I think people that don't like the Rhodes that they're hearing are missing what could be their perfect Rhodes if they spent a bit of time dialing it in. Me, I dislike that L.A., Dyno'ed overhyped bell sound on the Rhodes, so I dialed it way down and was very happy with what I was hearing. YMMV, obviously.
  22. Oh, I agree the organ needs work to be a contender against the big 3 (H, N, & C). Frankly I have far less interest in those motorized faders as drawbars, and every interest in them as MIDI control sources. Well, given that the Crumar responds on specific, discrete MIDI CC numbers for each drawbar (are you listening, Hammond-Suzuki? ), and the Dexibell can apparently map faders to any MIDI CC (I need to confirm this when the manual is released closer to release date, but it seemed to be the case on the prototype), then yes. Set the faders to whatever CC you need on an external MIDI zone that is set to a key range outside the range of the Mojo, and you should be all set.
  23. Not sure what difference that would make; the sound in the promo videos is direct, not miced...
