  1. No worries, Jim! Congrats. Still not the ** best ** pedal, which you asked for, but an improvement nonetheless.
  2. Good to know... I just tried editing the link and it didn't work. The original file has a *.jpg extension and I just used the shareable link option from Google Drive. I always seem to have issues with posting pics on this forum. What am I missing here? What you're missing...
  3. The OP specifically stated "Just so you know, I did try out a Crumar MJ61-EXP2 pedal and while it was more robust, it was WAY TOO TALL and TOO BIG". That being said, I'll never stop using my MJ-EXP3.
  4. Hmmmm... my guitarist misinformed me, then, as he's the one that confirmed Poly mode on the OC-2. Maybe he too has an OC-3 and just doesn't realize it. Anyway, he very clearly states in the video above how the Octaver works as I described, so.... QED.
  5. Watch the video I posted above, specifically at 5:10 and onwards.... and the OC-2/OC-3 absolutely does have a mode that detects the low note in a polyphonic input (Poly mode, with an adjustable range).
  6. Why suspect, why not just watch his video explaining the 2014 Pedalboard he's using? [video:youtube] ...and his website's Guitar FAQ section for tuning, gear, etc.? No Roland, he's using the Strymon TimeLine to generate the held notes/chords.
  7. I'm the same way; I never demonstrate the off-road capabilities of my Porsche 944, it always seems to bottom out in the mud, and embarrasses me.
  8. This is just the kind of support I was looking for, yearning for, begging for. Well, you did ask a yes or no question. As a rabid anti-choppist, I die a little inside when an A or B is chopped (unless it's one of the A-102 French Provincial monstrosities. Those need to be chopped to the last unit ).
  9. Not sure which manual you're reading, but the original B3 module did not have CC11 automatically mapped, only CC7 (Volume) and CC10 (Pan). What happens on the E-Mu units if you reassign your pedal at the controller to transmit CC7 instead of 11?
  10. Pure Synth Platinum on the App Store, by MIDIculous LLC
  11. False Prophet. This wins the Internet for the Day. Kudos!
  12. Mac or Windows? Betty or Veronica? Ginger or Mary Ann? Keaton, Kilmer, West or Bale? Tastes great! Less filling! Will these threads ever stop? Guess not. As you were.
  13. Amen! Everything old is new again: "Remember... your DPM 3 will never be obsolete!"
  14. Canada Probably worth mentioning in your first post, given the vast majority of forumites here are based in the U.S., and are giving you recommendations in U.S. currency. That being said, your original list is ALL OVER the map, with no rhyme nor reason. Understandable, as you're apparently new to all this, but that's like going to a car forum and asking what to buy and listing a minivan, a sportscar, a limousine and a tank. I'd recommend spending more time familiarizing yourself with the various classes of keyboard-based instruments that are available, and being a bit more realistic about what you actually need for your gigs/projects. YMMV. Best of luck.
  15. Love me some classic 80's arcade action. [video:youtube]
  16. If you have the charger that came with the iPad, then yes you do. Why would you want to ignore all the effort done by someone to program an iOS-specific app and take advantage of the multi-touch screen? Do yourself a favour, spend more time with the app(s) in question on your iPad. Learn more about MIDI. Learn more about your DAW. Only then will you really be able to make this work well for you. Based on your line of questioning in this thread, you're still a bit of a way off from that goal.
