  1. Yeah, I thought I read somewhere that for uni-directional use you only need one, but apparently this isn"t the case.
  2. Ok. Just received this and I think it is useless for my use. I want to use my keytar to control my hardware synth. First the main adapter has to be connected to the midi out. But I don't want that, as I want to use that for controlling another synth. I only want it in the midi in. Apparently is this is not how it works. Secondly the vortex bluetooth won't connect to this. Too bad. I do think this product suffers a bit from misleading marketing. It cannot act a replacement of a simple midi cable controlling a synth from a controller in one way. You will have to have 2 WIDI masters and the midi out is always occupied with the WIDI master.
  3. I assume you ordered the CME WIDI so you can control your hardware boards? The built in wireless and dongle with the Vortex is pretty good when I use it with my computer. Yeah, I will control my A1 and my Micromonsta with it. Thanks for the the reaction guys! Mark, I would love to have some video of you shredding a keytar!
  4. Just saw this on my Facebook as well. This is so sad. RIP brother Jimmy.
  5. I bought a keytar (Alesis wireless 2).... (Please Escaperocks stand by me when the angry keyboard players mob tries to lynch me..) I was never a fan of Keytars particular, but due to Covid we have to try some new things for the few shows we can do. As all the audience will be sitting, we want te show to be a bit more dynamic. Playing from different places in the room etc. A Keytar can hopefully add to that. We'll see. I have to say, for the money, it plays quite ok. The action is better than that of my Nord A1. I ordered a CME WIDI master to play wireless. Let's see how this turns out.
  6. I also ordered a CME WIDI master as well. It was also my understanding that for 1 direction purposes I could use one. Luckily I will use it with a controller which has Bluetooth, so I think it will work with only 1, but still.
  7. Holy sh*t. That"s awesome! Good work sequential. I always thought Dave said he wouldn"t do a revision. Glad he changed his mind:)
  8. Haha. It looks like a video of Louis Cole.
  9. Congratulations! I can imagine that is a relief! Good luck!
  10. Thank you for the replies. I read that the problems were indeed addressed in Mojave, but I also read some people still (believed to) have problems with it.
  11. I also posted this in the Mike recordings studio, but there is not as much traffic there. Too bad actually. I may want to upgrade my old 2012 Mac mini to a 2020 one, but I keep reading about the "audio glitch bug" caused by the "T2 chip". Is this still something to worry about? I am using a Scarlett 18i8 (USB 2.0) interface. Also, if I go for a new Mac mini, is 32 gb of Ram enough, or should I go for 64gb?

  13. That Larnell Lewis video is amazing.......
  14. Thank you for confirming that DJkeys and sorry for the wrong information. I misinterpreted the manual. I can"t my original post however. This feature might be thing to push me over the edge.
  15. What is then meant by 'In this scenario a Store operation needs to be performed for the settings to be recalled when the program is loaded again'?
  16. Not exactly. By several accounts, the early Silbermann prototypes were almost unplayable. Bach criticized the action and the sound of the upper register - but later, he even became a sales agent for Silbermann. In the latter part of his life, he always kept a couple of pianos in his house. Hahaha My Behringer model d was broken, I sent it for repairs, got a broken unit back, which again I had to sent for repair (that is their procedure). So it is gone since beginning of April. I think I will hold back on the behringer units...:
  17. I'll cut this question into two parts, beginning and finishing tracks. The first one is an 8. The second one somewhere subzero......
  18. I"m with you Stephen on that last part. Before I got my A1, i was focusing on the limitations of the fixed oscillator settings. In practice, it was never a problem.
  19. Thanks for the reply Stephen. Looking forward to you findings. Maybe you can use the arp section with gate for some movements in sounds as well? Just a thought.
  20. I was really interested in this, but I"m doubting a bit because of the somewhat limited modulation options. Only 1 LFO with only 1 destination. At least on my A1 i van route the LFO to both the osc control and filter. It seems a step back. I really like the idea of layering samples with synthesis, so maybe you can prove me wrong Stephen:)
  21. Well - just listen to demos of the real one and you will hear the difference. I'm not saying that the VST doesn't sound good, because it does. Just a bit more polite, if you follow me... the original has a wildness which is quite difficult to port into digital code. My opinion,of course. Ok thanks for the explanation Carlo. I actually didn't know this synth, so will definitely listen to some original recordings.
  22. That"s fair although I wonder if it"s a result of what they chose to present. I"m hoping to get the chance to show otherwise. Please do! What do you mean exactly with "too well-educated" Marino? I quite dig the sounds of that video.
