  1. And, is it still worth considering in 2020? I was gassing a bit for the Nord Wave 2, just need some simple sounds, MIDI to my module and ability to play samples. NW2 is a bit overkill for me I think.
  2. Thank you for the responses everybody. To clarify what I mean, I want to use the pad for samples (obviously) but I don't what them to trigger notes on my module. So actually I DON'T want them to send MIDI. I suppose this can be done?
  3. Bumping this thread for a few questions I couldn't find in the manual. -When a sample pad is triggering a sample, does it also sends MIDI? -How well does the FA do splits with different MIDI regions. I want to connect the FA with a module (Micromonsta). Am I able to split the keyboard with on one side my module (external sound) and the other side some internal sounds?
  4. Congratulations Mark! Really good job! Curious about the sounds!
  5. I"ve seen Carlo live a couple of times. He indeed is a really tasty player imho. He also has amazing chops, which he doesn"t show (off) too often, but sometimes throws in live. A real tasty musician!
  6. Ha nice. Colin Benders. He is a really good trumpet/flugelhorn player indeed. His Kyteman orchestra was really known here, one of the top national acts, selling out big shows. They even collaborated with Snarky puppy I think. He suddenly left that (really good gig) behind to get into the world of Modular synthesis, which is quite a brave decision I think. Thanks for sharing this Aidan.
  7. I"m glad you like it Adan! I too find it very inspiring when a musician is searching (and finding) his/her own unique sound!
  8. Sorry Elmerjfudd, I completely missed that thread!
  9. Nice. BTW he might not go into the real technical details on how he did it. I sent him a link to this thread, so maybe he can/will chime in to answer some more questions on this.
  10. Ok, seems like I copied the wrong links. Can you see it now?
  11. Ow, too bad Mark. I have send Carlo a message with this comment. Hopefully he can change some settings? Or is this something automatic of YouTube?
  12. For all Hammond and tech Geeks. Carlo de Wijs is an amazing Dutch Hammond organ player. He is always busy with developing his sound. He now started a series on how his "Modular Hammond" works. Basically what he does is getting the hammond signal out of the hammond, run it thru effects, synthesizers and Ableton, which runs back again into the organ to be added to his normal Hammond sound, giving him a wide palette of sounds. I think it is really an extraordinary piece of work. Below is the beginning of the series. It is on going. Episode 1 and 2 are introductions. If you want to hear it, go to episode number 3. 13. Congrats Mark! Hope you have a good one!
  14. Where is that table Markyboard made?
  15. Ahh. I missed it. Had a very busy day yesterday and was exhausted, so went to bed very early! Next time I"ll be there for sure!!
  16. you're a good guy Mark! Really decent to send him any money at all. His respons is IMO ridiculous.
  17. This is gold. I wasn't aware of this channel/series. Thank you!
  18. Ok, just for future reference on this I just tested connecting spdif in with out. It does work, like a charm. For me this is a very good solution. The mixer software of my audio interface makes it very flexible in routing internal audio to everywhere. And I like not having another piece of software. Case closed:)
  19. Ok, just for future reference on this I just tested connecting spdif in with out. It works as Mike already said. For me this is a very good option. The mixer software of my audio interface makes it very flexible in routing internal audio to everywhere. And I like not having another piece of software. Case closed:)
  20. Happy birthday Dave! Despite weird circumstances I hope you have a good day!
  21. Thanks for the reply mike. Can this software be selected as well als my audio interface in logic? The point is I sometimes like to play along with IrealPro and record it in Logic. I had the soundflower app routing the irealpro back to logic, but then I can"t record my piano as well. That is why I routed the audio out and in of my interface. Is this possible with audio hijack?
  22. Hi mike! Thanks for the reply! Indeed that is exactly what I want to do. I"m running Mac OS and Logic Pro. The Focusrite, although called to have 6 outputs, 4 of those are for the 2 head phone outputs and 2 for the monitors, so no analog outputs left. What do you suggest as a solution?
  23. Posted this in mikes recording forum as well, but don"t seem to get a response, so am trying here as well. On my focusrite 18i6, can I connect the spdif out to the spdif in directly as an routing option te record music on my computer in my DAW? I know there are software solution for this as well, but i don"t use the spdif"s so I thought this was a handy utilization.
