  1. I pulled the trigger on one. Shipping will take a couple of weeks. I will report back!
  2. My deepest sympathy Grey! So sorry for you and your familiy.
  3. My old setup was using 2 mixers. One mixer was mixing down my keyboards sent it to a DI. the link outputs of the DI went to the other mixer as input to hear myself. I then requested a downmix of the band WITHOUT KEYBOARDS (obviously this went wrong couple of times), to send into that mixer as well. I could blend the rest with myself as you do with the pan Tim. Now we have a sophisticated setup with an Allen&Heath digital mixer. Everything is split and sent to the A&H and FOH. We all get a stereo send from the A&H mixer. I can make a mix of the entire band with and app on my phone. It did cost a few gigs to get it right, but now it is really a bliss. I am in control of everything. Setting up is really fast. And the mix is always quite good from the start (it's always better than the wedges days). Also a big plus, I can directly check if I have sound and if everything works, so I don't have to wait for the sound engineers. And when I have sound, and the FOH engineers say "you are not coming in", I know it is their fault (because the chance the splitter fails is almost zero I think). This makes setting up so much more relaxed.
  4. Hi Mike, Thank you for the feedback. I was already thinking this would head to the direction of a Helmholtz resonator. To be honest I actually don't like the idea of having a >150 liters object extra in the room. I also don't think my girlfriend would really appreciate. I can ask him what the measures are, just to have an idea. But it is really a nice to have. The room actually already sounds pretty darn good. I don't know if this can be explained by acoustic physics, but I have the feeling the stereo image is much wider in this room. It also sounds bigger than my previous room (it actually is, so that makes sense:)).
  5. Thank you Eric!! Really excited:) @mike, I"ve used some online calculators. It is anaxial mode of the rooms length. I also used a low f sin to test it. It is at its peak on both end walls and goes to a nill in the middle of the room. I"ve put the absorbers to the back wall and in the ceiling corner, but it didn"t do much. @Kuru, no problem, I was just checking wether you or me was missing something:)
  6. Did you see the pictures? I made my own panels, which have high density Rockwool in it. They are 10cm thick. They do a lot actually. I still have one left as you see standing in the corner. I could put that horizontally somewhere between ceiling and wall. I don't have room for it to place vertically. Or I could maybe buy some of those block bass traps and put those in the corners of the ceiling, but I doubt they will do much.
  7. Apparently the image uploader doesn't work. So used a third party sharing site.
  8. A previous discussion about new monitors ended in an interesting discussion about my room and acoustics. I would like to continue that discussion here. First of all, things changed. As me and my girlfriend are expecting a baby boy in September I needed to change the studio room. (happy to do so, very excited about becoming a dad!) The new room is shared as a laundry room, but it is big enough for both functions. I also moved the acoustic panels. The new room is much higher (and a bit bigger) then the old one. It also sounds more lively. I really like it. But there is a peak/standing wave of about 44Hz. I would like to get rid of it. It is quite dominant The size of the room is L3,65xW2,95xH2,20 to 2,90 m (ceilings is sloped). Mike or others, do you have any suggestions for improvement further? Here are some pictures.
  9. I have only used isolated ones. Began on the cheap Shure 215. Served me well I really liked them. The difference coming from wedges is hugh imo. I tried some other ones, including the most expensive KZ ones, with 10 drivers or so. Used them on some shows. The sound really good, but are a bit bass hyped. For bigger shows with a lot of subs on the PA I actually get too much bass (bass will bleed through..). Also the fitting in my ears is not as comfortable. I'm actually back to the shure 215. The sound really clean and fit very well.
  10. Yes, I realised after uploading! Thanks for the notification.
  11. Thanks for the suggestions everybody! Unfortunately i couldn"t get the files back, probably because the disk was already too full. An important lesson was learned!
  12. Even if the latency was no issue (which I think it will) what would be the gain? The Bluetooth only works steady for a few meters in my experience. Might as well have a cable for that.
  13. Thanks for the reaction. The pictures don"t show up at recently deleted pictures as she deleted the folder via the PC, when the iPhone was connected to it. She physically removed the directory with window explorer. She copied almost all her pictures to the pc, but then the PC disk was full. She then deleted wat was copied, also emptied the recycle bin (to make room). After that she wanted to make more room on the pc and accidentally removed the stuff from her phone, which was still connected.
  14. my girlfriend was copying pictures from her iPhone to the PC. Because the disk of the PC was full I didn't manage to copy all the pictures. 80% was copied. She removed the this 80% and while trying to make room for all the pictures on the hard disk, she accidentally removed the directory with the pictures from the iPhone. I tried a lot of recovery programs, but either they all do not work, or I am too stupid. Most of them have a free version to try to find the files, and you can upgrade to a paid version if you found your files. I am happy to pay, but I didn't have any luck finding the pictures. I tried recovering the directory on the iPhone, or search for the 80% of pictures that where copied to the PC. Both without succes. A lot of the programs don't find the pictures. Some of the programs maybe find them (they show pictures from a date which is possible) but then no preview is there and the file size is 0 kb. (and yeah, iCloud, I told her already 1000x...)
  15. My sincere condolences! Thank you for sharing these beautiful memories!
  16. Nice! Thanks. Haven"t seen this one yet!.
  17. A bit too late, but happy birthday dB!! Hope you had a good one!
  18. The summit is VA, it has digital oscillators. But it does have an analog filter and distortion. So hybrid is maybe a better term.
  19. I'm also still gassing for one! Please report back guys!
  20. There are rumours of a new one coming out
