What do you think of this? I like it. It’s a Casio festival.
This same festival had these people too.

I didn't know this whole concert was available until last night. I've been watching the individual clip of Strasbourg St Denis for months, but to have the whole show is really great.

The great thing about music is that there's always something to learn. The frustrating thing about music is that there's always something to learn!

Getting late and feeling good about my practice today so checked YT and bernies bootlegs just put up the whole Lennie Tristano album called Note for Note. Digging the album so I just bought the download version.

Here the link to the YT for some laid back Lennie.

Some music called patam-patam which is music mainly played on Technics keyboards with a lot of synth sounds. The older stuff uses Juno-60, Oberheim
OB-Xa, and DX7 a LOT.

The audible version, read by the author. Immensely enjoyable. And now I know why I should never order seafood on a Monday, and other gems. smile

I'm listening to a few artists on repeated rotation, all with another take on composing for piano.

The only.one of those on YouTube are Goldmund: https://youtu.be/eSKpkl0PD_o

The others can be found on Bandcamp:

The Piano Cloud series by 1631 Recordings: https://1631recordings.bandcamp.com/album/piano-cloud-series-volume-one
Young Russian composer Alex Tiuniaev: https://alextiuniaev.bandcamp.com/

Trumpet player by trade, but fell in love with keys too.

I like it too. The girl in the cowboy hat reminded me of the concert scene in Apocalypse Now.

To the sound of a Honeywell cleaning the air from fine dust and hopefully most unhealthy gasses after an AC forced air swap and light cooling...

The new Scott Henderson album “People Mover” and the new
Gino Vannelli album “Wilderness Road”

Not one single keyboard sound on the first one smile

Vulfpeck. I think I posted this up as what I'm listening to right now - about 6 months ago. Haven't stopped, still listening, sometimes 10x a day.

Tower of Power, "Soul with a capital S", first 4 songs "remixed" through my immensely complex studio sound correction DSP processing chain (in the order of 1000 carefully tuned "plugin" effects on Linux), here's a short 20 seconds example recorded in 44.1 mpeg to give an impression of the sound:

toptest1.mp3

I hope this falls under fair use, most Amazon audio examples are longer. It's a random exactly 20 seconds fragment, by chance (at least from my perspective) coming from 'Sold Out'. Works best loud on a good stereo or something.

Does your chain handle batch processing ?

Well these 3 parts are for correcting what I've called A-grade recordings, that have extensive preparations built in, which appear to converge to sound right through exactly the same chain settings.

In principle I just feed the first chain a CD track, or a high definition track, so if you have a track you want to try on it, I can feed it.

If you don't know about Moonchild yet I would highly recommend. Just released a new album, too.

Played here on Saturday, a warm up show for their tour. Their live drummer is from here. Great grooves, beautiful compositions.

Been listening to live Steve Hackett lately. The gradual disintegration of Genesis ultimately mattered little, the essence of band always lived on in Steve's capable hands. The sound quality of this show recording is stunning.
