  1. Lots of fascinating insights from someone early into an already stellar career.... Audio Link
  2. I'd agree this is not one of his best - cannot believe he's surprised that musicians pick up tuning better than non-musicians....
  3. Agree with this - I got rid of Spotify sub with pleasure and now use YT premium and Apple Music
  4. For current band I have the repertoire on a YT playlist. Spotify playlist and Apple music playlist - with most members using the YT one but a couple use the others.
  5. Yep you can download synced versions of each audio and video file - I literally just drop them into my editing software and they align perfectly. Early on I had the odd sync issue but not recently
  6. Great to catch up with Jim, some great stories from the trenches of the TV house band. Enjoy! Audio link
  7. I had the pleasure of chatting with Padd Milner last week, who provided piano for this doco - from what I can tell they are still nailing down a distributor...
  8. Great question - I'm using the Riverside platform, so get WAV files for each member of the interview including myself
  9. My sources tell me it's the launch of the Arturia VNord Lead
  10. Oh please let it be so - would be a killer offering I'd certainly consider really seriously.
  11. That was amazing, had never seen that! I'm not buying that it was spontaneous but wow!
  12. Tom's is still strong - I reckon he's still probably got 70% of what he had at his peak
  13. That's what I love about him - no voice like it. I always knew his older stuff but had pretty much dismissed him as a legacy artist until I saw this in the 90s and realised this guy was an ongoing innovator:
  14. Agreed - I'm currently listening to the audio book Exit Stage left - https://www.theguardian.com/books/2022/may/10/exit-stage-left-by-nick-duerden-what-happens-once-the-hits-have-dried-up - and it has a similar premise in a lot of ways
  15. I agree re: Kiss, his version is superb! He sang Green Grass, What's New Pussycat, It's Not Unusual and Delilah from the old catalog but not Help Yourself
  16. P.S. Has anyone watched the Nicky Hopkins doco yet? Paddy covered piano duties on that, I think it's only screened at film festivals so far, really keen to see it
  17. .... and was just wowed. At 83 he's definitely slowed down, and I'm sure the keys of the songs have been dropped a little, but geez what a force of nature! Covered his whole catalog and did a brilliant version of Cohen's Tower of Song amongst many other things. Had the pleasure of spending time before and after the show with his keys player, Paddy Milner. Such a lovely guy and he certainly gets a diverse set of songs to play with Here's a brief montage of some of his work. I once again want to start playing the accordion
  18. Yep sad to see - I had friends at the third Sydney show who said it was much better, not sure what the issue was at Bluesfest and first Sydney show.
  19. Absolutely agree - but some still hold it together really nicely in a more conservative way. I watched 83 year old Tom Jones kick arse last night for nearly two hours, his voice 100% live. Was so great to see.
  20. Agreed - not a bad run at all and no way they won't be putting out something similar with the hard-to-get parts substituted by something else.
