I did not know this Rob and it's made my day. I loved Akoustik when I first received a review copy for a magazine I wrote for. I've never really dug into the NI New York settings but will be now!

Just on crypto - some are most definitely ponzi schemes, no doubt about it. Others definitely aren't - for example I know one cryptocurrency provided by a government aligned with carbon trading. Totally legit and hopefully even driving some innovation. Trouble is all the other dodgy operators...

The other biggish player is Distrokid, similar pricing from memory. I'm a long time happy customer of TuneCore - particularly when they lowered their pricing a little over a year ago.

The Beato video I posted above only mentions the CNN article a couple of times, it's more of an exploration of his approach and passion for what he does. I find the constant call out for money intrusive, as do I the navel-gazing aspects but also can understand that when he's flying places and bringing a small crew, his costs will be mounting - and the majority of his vids are de-monetised.

Exactly - very short-sighted

One reason you won't find much Eagles stuff on YouTube is that they are super-obsessive about copyright - one of the artists (or their label anyway) that will hit you with a copyright strike at drop of a hat.

Like @AnotherScott The Bridge is probably my favourite album. There's no doubt he was trying to be someone he wasn't strapping on the guitar and doing the clip below, but still loved the song. I was (am) a huge Lauper fan so I also liked his duet with her on that album. On Springsteen, I agree somewhat with you @MathOfInsects about Springsteen's change in persona. I still don't get his 'Born in the USA (song) voice versus pretty much everything else he did. He used that same voice on We Are The World. He's also the first to admit his Dancing in the Dark clip is embarrassing, particularly his dancing efforts
