RABid
My family always asks me for a list. This year the list is smaller than ever, and nothing musical on it. Very strange for me. All I have come up with is a couple of Mac books, a wireless MightyMouse, a deep lasagna pan and an 8" covered non-stick omelet pan. After going through my apartment and clearing things out I don't want anything that takes up space. Oh, I guess there is one thing you might say is music related. I told my sister I can use stuff for my NAMM trip to California. Tour packages, Disney tickets, food, etc... Robert This post edited for speling. ProfD
My list is scant too. A few pieces of software and accessories for my laptop. Essentially a gift certificate to Best Buy. stepay
I always ask for the same thing and I NEVER get it: A shoebox full of 20's. This year though, I'd like the following: This Is Spinal Tap movie on DVD Football and Baseball games for GameCube (getting one for the kids this year) Lose 25 pounds (guess that's a gift I have to give myself) Steve (Stevie Ray) "Do the chickens have large talons?" DanS
I'm getting a new dual core machine for the home office (we've been on Win98...), and I picked up the World Collection card for my XV-3080. I also bought a book on mixing per someone's suggestion here, and a bunch of cheap CD's from Amazon. What we record in life, echoes in eternity. TaurusT
Hey DanS, can you message me privately when you've tried out that World Collection card? Thinking about it myself. To stick to the topic: I'm gonna be getting me a new chair and desk. I know sounds boring, but its really needed anyway.
linwood
Santa is sooo kickin' butt this year. I've got a Wii with several games that us guys at the Bell house will open on the 25th, but...I take delivery of an Omega 8 on Friday and that goes right in the rack. Man, what a huge door it will open.

Carbon111
I've pretty much got all the gear I could possibly want which is why the only thing I want from Santa is the Korg Micro-X - damn, that thing is so cooool! Um...in a "gadgety" kinda way. I mean, 2 octaves is sort of awful, but that thing packs so much crap into such a tiny footprint. Geek gear porn. Crap...maybe I'll get it outta my system by playing my SHS10...bleah. Honestly though, I think this is the first time in a while I don't really want anything...just some good friends, MST3K and some mulled wine Best Regards, James -- http://cdbaby.com/cd/carbon1112 http://www.carbon111.com

Another octave and S/PDIF out and it would be great... perfect for a compact synth for messing about on for dance music. "The microXs sound generator is the same HI synthesis system used by the TRITON series. In addition to Korg classics, many new PCM waveforms created specifically for the microX are provided, with a special emphasis on cutting edge synth and dance sounds, as well as unique ethnic timbres." SilverDragonSoun
Well I guess I have to edit my list as my sudden symptoms of extreme Gas has made me lust after the Roland V-synth XT. I'm going to put in on my wish list and ask Santa real nice. Of course if he checks his list I'm pretty much screwed. DanL
I asked for a stomp box type reverb so when I use my Electro and amp alone I can patch in some verb. I don't always want to haul my rack around for that. I also asked for an expression pedal to hook into my S90ES so I'll have one for the Electro and one for the ES. I'm hoping my wife surprises me with some chrome for my bike but no biggie if she doesn't.
