Adan
For me McVie represents the best of what pop music can be: universal sentiments expressed simply. So simply that you can't help but think you could have written it. But you didn't, Christine McVie did. 4 1 Quote Gigging: Crumar Mojo 61, Hammond SKPro Home: Vintage Vibe
Old No7
Singer, songwriter, keyboardist Christine McVie has passed. "Her commercial potency, which hit a high point in the 1970s and ’80s, was on full display on Fleetwood Mac’s “Greatest Hits” anthology, released in 1988, which sold more than eight million copies: She either wrote or co-wrote half of its 16 tracks. Her tally doubled that of the next most prolific member of the band’s trio of singer-songwriters (Stevie Nicks)." Mark Schmieder
On 11/30/2022 at 3:15 PM, KuruPrionz said: Rest In Peace Christine, you were truly one of the greats. You will be missed. Long ago and far away I saw Christine and Fleetwood Mac, it was the Bob Welch era which I didn't care for too much but she played and sang very well indeed. Oddly, the lineup from start to finish was Rory Gallagher (who stole the show), Fleetwood Mac and Deep Purple. I loved her work on later Fleetwood Mac albums - Over My Head is just a stellar pop tune (for one). We played Over My head at rehearsal tonight, but had already picked it for next Friday's gig before her death, so we shed a few tears. 1 1 Quote Eugenio Upright, 60th Anniversary P-Bass, USA Geddy Lee J-Bass, Yamaha BBP35, D'angelico SS Bari, EXL1, Select Strat, 70th Anniversary Esquire, LP 57, Eastman T486, T64, Ibanez PM2, Hammond XK4, Moog Voyager
Ivan May
I, like so many Fleetwood Mac fans are pretty upset about Christine's death. She created some lovely music, that's for sure.

stoken6
I was rehearsing when the news came in. The whole band let out a collective sigh of regret. Her music brought positivity and uplift to the world, and it is a tiny bit sadder without her. Cheers, Mike.

Montunoman 2
That’s so sad, but she left such an amazing musical legacy that will be enjoyed for years to come.
Mark Schmieder
Holy cow, that was a depressing read! I had forgotten about all of those negatives, which were left out of most other obits. But it also gave me even deeper respect for McVie as a survivor. 1 Quote Eugenio Upright, 60th Anniversary P-Bass, USA Geddy Lee J-Bass, Yamaha BBP35, D'angelico SS Bari, EXL1, Select Strat, 70th Anniversary Esquire, LP 57, Eastman T486, T64, Ibanez PM2, Hammond XK4, Moog Voyager
Al Quinn
I always enjoyed her voice, playing, and songs. Used to play some of them in a cover band back when they were first released. I remember a BL telling me the bride at an upcoming wedding wanted to sing Songbird. So I learned it but, based on past experiences with this kind of thing, my expectations were low. Turns out the bride sang it beautifully. A fond memory for sure and one of the many great pop songs written by Christie. RIP Christie 2 Quote https://alquinn.com
Outkaster
Her stuff was auctioned off. The Leslie went for 37,000.00. All the guys and techs on Facebook were up in arms about it. 1 Quote "Danny, ci manchi a tutti. La E-Street Band non e' la stessa senza di te.
