bennyray
I found one for $250 in good shape. I haven't used a leslie since the 80's. What is the main difference between the 145 and 125? Thanks for any input!
Baldwin Funster
A 125 is not worth more than that. Even a little less depending on region. Ill let the experts explain the diffetence. FunMachine.
bennyray
I had a 145 and 122 back in the 70's and 80's and thinking of getting one for home use only.
Delaware Dave
It's only a drum, there is no horn. Not only that, there are no louvers on the cabinet to disperse the sound for the horn. http://theatreorgans.com/hammond/faq/all_leslies.html pic 57 Hammond B3; 69 Hammond L100P; 68 Leslie 122; Kurzweil Forte7 & PC3; M-Audio Code 61; Voce V5+; Neo Vent; EV ELX112P; GSI Gemini & Burn Delaware Dave Exit93band
bennyray
Exactly I just read some info on it about it not having a horn. Bump a 125!
Doerfler
save your money. IMO it's not even worth your time with all the available options today.

rod76
They are certainly underwhelming to look at but they have a nice flavour and plenty loud for home use (pair of 6L6s). You can also crank them without fear of damaging the horn driver.

Outkaster
I had one and it was a bitch to sell. People mod them sometimes and cut their own louvers. They don't have a good residual. hazerkeys
I had a 125 in my band when I was a teen - you will really really miss the horn ... in my opinion, that horn is about 90% of the leslie character PC1x, Hammond XK1c, Deep Mind 6, MS500 (gig rig) Kurz PC4, Mini Moog Model D, Little Phatty, Hammond M3, Leslie 145, viscount op-3, Behringer model D, Roland GAIA.. WesG
$50 without amp, assuming you have a Hammond spinet to go with it. $100 with one, if it works. They came both ways. Wes Hammond: L111, M100, M3, BC, CV, Franken CV, A100, D152, C3, B3 Leslie: 710, 760, 51C, 147, 145, 122, 22H, 31H Yamaha: CP4, DGX-620, DX7II-FD-E!, PF85, DX9 Roland: VR-09, RD-
bennyray
Yea I would never buy a leslie with no horn. Just wasn't sure what a 125 was. The pic I looked at only showed the bottom rotor and could never see the top and I didn't think there was a top rotor or horn. POS

And here is the chief value of a 125 cabinet. You can make a tiny full function leslie out of them if you mod in the top horn. Outkaster
Looks like 147 amp in there. That looks nicer than others I have seen. "Danny, ci manchi a tutti.
