  1. Gentlemen you get what you pay for Mic Drop! The OB -X8 is superior hands down if you ain't first you are last.
  2. Great video of real music harmonies spot on
  3. I was gonne comment but MIGHTY MOTIF MAX covered most of what i feel about the Fantom. The Eps. are TURRIBLE you would think a flagship keyboard would have playable Eps. The pads are wonderful the pianos are just ok for me my Kronos is much bertter for Eps. but have mostly 3rd party libraries. I have the F7 and keybed is reallly good and love the synth section. I hate the WURLIS and RHODES on F7. But I have a MOJO 61 so that solve the shortcomings of thr EPS. although i the prefer Purgatory CREEK EP. samples from Busch on thr Kronos.
  4. Thanks for the info will not gig with keyboard at least very seldom. I have a Fantom 7 and MOJO that i gig with which i am close to retiring from doing gigs. I am familar with Nord pianos had one a few years back and sold it for Fantom probably mistake but the new update on Fantom is nice and finally a piano that i like but the synths sound great with new update. Just want Montage for studio at home the pianos sound really good on videos but can be misleading. Suprisingly the Fantom is good with the EX update if only the.Rhodes and Wurlils were better turrible i SAY. Still love my Kronos 88
  5. Posted 16 hours ago While the Nord Stage 4 was on my short list, I went for the Montage M8x. Outside of the usual "Nord is stage instrument for performance", would love a side by side if anyone owns both. Quote Using: Yamaha: Montage M8x| Spectrasonics: Omnisphere, Keyscape | uhe: Diva, Hive2, Zebra2| Roland: Cloud Pro | Arturia: V Collection | NI: Komplete 14 | VPS: Avenger | Cherry: GX80 | G-Force: OB-E | Korg: Triton, MS-20 Sold/Traded: Yamaha: Motif XS8, Motif ES8, Motif8, KX-88, TX7 | ASM: Hydrasynth Deluxe| Roland: RD-2000, D50, MKS-20| Korg: Kronos 88, T3, MS-20 | Oberheim: OB8, OBXa, Modular 8 Voice | Rhodes: Dyno-My-Piano| Crumar: T2 I have been going back and forth on these 2 keyboards most likely will go Montage M8x as well any regrets. Do u like the bread and butter sounds on Montage better know the synth seems to be better?
  6. Very nice sounds like u gotta a little Chick Corea going on.
  7. Yea the Grandstage is nice but I just prefer the vintage look and the tube vacuum on SV2. May try the YC 73 alot of sounds
  8. Thanks for all the input I just like the sound and look of the SV2. Jeff I thought you had a Nord for piano could be mistaken been a few years since I been on on the forum. Really like the Nord Stage 3 as well.
  9. Being a former member took a break from the music scene. Looking for a stage piano this may seem a little wierd but I love the Korg SV2 especially the Eps. and the vintage look as well. I have had a nord before love the pianos but something keeps bringing me back to the Korg sv2. Experienced and know about the Yamaha YC like the sounds and the Stage 3, Nord piano 5 as well. Love the Nord pianos but not eps. I was going to purchase Nord piano 5 but heard the Korg SV2 and the sound and look just got me thinking again. The Nord piano 5 and OBX8 is something I have been lusting for but the SV2 just love the ease of access and no menu diving. Any thoughts or someone that has a SV2 could chime in. Thanks for any input would be appreciated. Benny
  10. Love The Good Doctor monster player one of my favorites. Billy Preston and Dr. John were very talented.
  11. I usually hear what I play but different perspective.
  12. Not a Clav tune not trying to disrespect your post. But this is funk kicking ass
  13. You could argue that Charlie and Ringo were the drummers of the most popular bands in the world. For me they were so steady and underrated at there craft
  14. Both are great instruments. I really don't see a KRONOS 3 with the Nautilius being so similar to Kronos jmo
  15. Great keyboard player btw if you played with the Beatles and Rolling Stones you were special no doubt.
  16. The keyclick on to 63 and keyclick off to 63 in the above video that ED showing the VTW parameters sounds bad on my headphones but never hear that much click on a Hammond imo for my taste.
  17. Billy Preston was very talented and if you could play with the Beatles and the Stones you are a master player. MIC DROP!
  18. U are are gonna get the red army on you saying Roland organ is better than Nord. I agree organ is better than Nord but really personal opinion both are ok.
  19. Of course it sounds better! But I prefer the Mojo or Hammond XK5 for organ. Best organ in a workstation IMO.
  20. Very cheap if I had the money I would go for it. Make sure it works properly they were alot of humming issues that drove me crazy years ago 60 cycle hum. The tuning is a PITA not to mention reeds breaking and need replacing. But it is a vintage EP most likely could sell if you were not happy with it. Alot of factors to figure in most people used a phase 90 and some chorus effect as well. A dry WURLY is good but effects really make it sound really good Check out Stay WITH ME ole ROD STEWART TUNE WURLY IS SMOKING
  21. Dave you have a way of saying all the right things except sometime you gotta grand stand and be a showman only when you just feel the time is right. You are so inspirational and your knowledge of music is something I really appreciate,
  22. IMO I play what I feel whether less or more I don't give a shit what someone thinks been doing this a long time and if it comes from the heart u have nothing to worry about. Just be yourself and everything will work out.
