Instead of a polysix, I'd rather see a Mono/Poly

It's interesting they named a synth after a board game.

Perhaps someone else could try that. Maybe Chutes and Ladder Filters?

I don't know if thats a good keyboard name.

MonoGamy suggests only 1 keyboard in life.

For us Kronos owners, thats ok

But for others, they have to have 2 or 3 or more to fiddle with.

the photoshop and Korg experts have declared that a prank

So be happy it is ...

2 days and you know more for real.

:)

My guess its nothing ' big', not a game changer, or a niche expensive thing

possibly a moderate priced product, or less, something Korg hopes to sell 1000's of.

This marketing tease stuff is low budget. They let the community do the rest of the work

I posted my rationale as to why it's fake on the Korg forum. I added another.

1) Volca Wave display not using 7-segment LED which had been used as recently as the Volca Kick and FM. You can't get those characters from a 7-segment LED.

2) Both keyboards have identical markings. Ever other Volca is unique. While it's possible, seems strange these two very different modules would have identical functionality.

3) Korg shoots promo shots with the device on and many lights active. The Wave appears to be on based on the display but no lights are active. The Vocal Processor doesn't appear to be on at all.

4) The vector joystick looks impossibly small and fake. As does the mic.

5) Why are the colors completely different between the main and cutouts on the Wave?

6) The shadows look goofy. Everything looks like a photoshop mock up.

7) At the bottom the tag: "Volca Processing Synthesizer" uses an obvious drop shadow but the one above "Wavetable Synthesizer" does not. Seems very sloppy for Korg.

8) The headphone icon isn't lined up properly above the jack on the vocal unit.

9) Korg has never used fonts like that on the Volca line for the product names. Typically a simple san serif.

And, if this is the big announcement, where is the RED volca?

Busch.
