Dave Weiser
This - Guy Babylon's Sound Page Contest winning entry for Keyboard Mag. Totally blew me away when I heard it. Must have been 1987, I was in 9th grade. Of course there's some 80s cheese in there and the Emulator piano is a bit dodgy, but sh*t most of the sounds are good, esp the Clavinet with the Castle-bar mod. Psyched that someone finally uploaded it to Youtube. NewImprov
That José James was great. D, how's You're Dead!? You're Dead is pretty freaking awesome! It's pretty short, 39 minutes, and explores a bunch of ideas. Herbie is all over the first few tracks, and they could almost be excepts from Mwandishi! Even Snoop Dogg sounds good on the album. One of the best albums I've heard this year, not bad for a concept album about death.
