  1. Let us know how you like the XL and how it comepares with other amps you amps. Thanks.
  2. The new Roland Go Mixer Pro might be what you are looking for. I have the old version. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1648392-REG/roland_gomixerpx_go_mixer_pro_x_audio_mixer.html https://www.roland.com/us/search/?q=go%20mixer
  3. Has anyone tried out Reason 12 yet?
  4. All CME-Pro WIDI devices have performed very well for me. https://www.cme-pro.com/
  5. I have Korg Legacy Bundle. If you have an upgrade coupon code for Collection 3, what is the price for the upgrade?
  6. OK, the frequency response on the TS308 is 62 Hz â 20 kHz (+ 3 dB). Is there a lot of bass difference in real life between 75 Hz and 62 Hz?
  7. Alto Introducing TX 3 series Alto is coming out with TX308, TX310, TX312, and TX315. https://www.altoprofessional.com/series They are dirt cheap($129 for the TX308), but still I will probably choose between the TS308 and 310. I recently purchased a pair of the TS312. I am very pleased with it.
  8. My iPad Air finally died on me (a very bad case of ghost writing), and I got a 12.9 M1 from B&H. I used their store card. If you pay off in a month, they will pay the state sales tax for you. Anyway, with the USB C port It's nice to be able to use non Apple devices including external memory. All my USB C hubs seem to work just fine. The USB C hub in the pic has a 3.5 mm audio input/output. My old Roland Du-Capture EX plugged into the hub works just fine. I need to find a better USB DAC than the $8 shown in the pic. I have this laying around and I will have to find it. sound-blaster-play-3 Yes, all the WIDI Bluetooth midi devices are so handy!!!
  9. This reminds me another Italian company that did the same thing; Dexibell.
  10. Since you have used Cantabile, can you highlight areas you think GP is better? When I stumbled upon GP when it first came out, I jumped on it because I was able to do complex things with such ease from the start. After that just for the fun of it, I remember that I opened up all other VST hosts; BloXpander, Forte4, and Cantabile and they all gave me a headache just looking at the GUIs! So I'll say definitely the workflow is so much better with GP than any other VST hosts I tried. I used to say that GP makes my Windows machines run like a Mac (as far as "DAW" is concerned.) It seems to me that all plugins run better and smoother. Though I have Mainstage in my Macbook Pro, I haven't touched it after trying out some patches, and I hard ong time users of Mainstage saying that GP runs more efficiently. Bluetooth Midi - Once I asked on the GP forum and Deskew Technologies said something to the effect that they would consider implementing it if there is enough request. Right after I got GP, I asked them about what Roland calls patch remain. They added that feature in a matter of a few days. In GP, it is called patch persist. I understand that Deskew Technologies is composed of a few programmers who are all touring musicians. Years ago, I purchased Live-Styler - the whole works only for its sound samples. A small one man operation in Germany. The young man suddenly died! I used to have very neat apps by O Deus Audio - another one man operation in Australia. He, too, died!!! People couldn't register online. I purchased a second-hand license for vArranger - a realtime arranger which I don't use, but I bought it to manage patches. Yet, another one man operation in France. I'm sure by now you understand what I am trying to say.... Going back to MIDI over Bluetooth. for my Windows machines, I use the Widi Bud. It works very well. Now they are coming out with WIDI Bud Pro that supports multiple Bluetooth midi devices at the same time. I hear the WIDIMaster bluetooth devices work with Korg bluetooth midi driver. I haven't tried it myself. There is no MIDI/DAW out there that supports the new Windows 10 Bluetooth midi protocol except for Cakewalk as far as I know. I'm sure you are aware of Midiberry. There seem to be always solutions for Windows. VST3 - Just upgraded to Reason 11. It is available only in VST3.
  11. I run GP4 both in my Windows machine and Macbook Pro. Right after I purchased a license for Forte4, I stumbled upon Gig Performer. It was so easy and intuitive. I had been using Cantabile and BloXander before. Just no match for Gig Performer. I don't bother with Mainstage or any other plugin hosts. GP4 controls all my plugins and effects it. From the start, I was doing things with GP without reading a single line in the manual. I had purchased Forte4 to control my hardware modules, but with GP4 I can use ins files to test and control all my hardware modules though more and more I find it much easier and powerful to come up with my own patches using only plugins. I have Camelot Pro in my iPad and PC. I didn't care for it.
  12. Seconded. dB Thirded Fourthed Fifthed. A number of years ago, I bought my first Casio digital piano PX330 just because of the fuss about Casio digital pianos. I thought it was dirt cheap, too. I was pleasantly surprised; very light, good piano sounds, good keyboard action, and tons of useful features plus nice sound built-in speakers. No more over 50 LBS keyboards. Since then, I bought a PX5s for a church, PX560, and PX-S1000. The PX-S1000 is not only light, but it is very slim and compact. It makes it very easy to handle it. My Studiologic Numa Stage is not too heavy but it is bulky. I bought my PX-S1000 to take it with me in a camper van. Battery operation is a big plus! As far I am concerned, Casio was the 1st to release light digital pianos at affordable prices, which forced other big names to follow the suit. It seems that Casio gets a lot of love both from pro musicians and beginning students. I want to support a company like that.
  13. Brazil has some great accordion players. Lucy Alves Sivuca https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTkBvBbu75c
  14. Looks like you've got the accordion bug! Some interesting stuff about the accordion. You're quite right in calling it chest organ. The accordion is amusingly called stomach Steinway. Some accordionists don't like the term squeezebox, but many old time professional accordionists and especially "Jazzers" simply call it a box. The Chinese Communist party during the Cultural Revolution, while killing as many as 70 millions of their own people banned all "Western" musical instruments such as the piano, violin, and so forth except for the accordion. Why? They thought it would make a perfect "instrument" for their propaganda business as the accordion is quite loud without amplification and it is portable. As a result, so many accordion players in China. Same way with North Korea. The Chinese call the accordion hand organ. Rightly so as the Italians call it "fisarmonica." finger/hand organ. The piano accordion is an American (by two Italian-Americans) invention. Too many accordion students but not enough teachers in the US. They replaced the buttons with keyboards so that piano teachers can give accordion lessons. Many reasons as to why the accordion vanished; mainly they priced themselves out of business. Oh, yes the accordion influence of German settlers in Texas on the Latino community. You can hear the heavy German oomph bass in Conjunto/Norteno music. An interesting question; why is Conjunto slower in tempo than the German folk music? The answer is rather amusing. Can you guess?
  15. Before I stumbled upon Gig Performer when it first came out, I had been using other plugin hosts such as Forte 4, Catabile, and BloXpander. I only use Gig Performer now. It is so easy to use and yet feature rich.
  16. Recently I bought two Alto TS-312s, and I love them. Now I am trying to decide between the TS308 and 310. Alto is getting a lot of love everywhere including on Thomann. I will end up buying the Alto TS312s subwoofer, too.
  17. The Yamaha and Quicco always need computers/IOS devices but All these new Bluetooth MIDI devices by CME-Pro can connect midi devices without PC/IOS.
  18. Does the Doremidi box support a usb hub so that you can connect multiple USB midi devices? The Keton and MIDI PLus do not support usb hubs. I use this https://compasflamenco.com/midi-c-3/usb-host-midi-router-uhmr-p-8.html?language=en
  19. You might want to look into the TS308, TS310, and 312 by Alto. There is a lot of love out there for these inexpensive but great sounding speakers. https://www.thomannmusic.com/alto_ts_308.htm
  20. Another neat Bluetooth midi device by CME-Pro. You can sign up for a 50% discount. https://www.cme-pro.com/widi-uhost/
  21. I suspect Mainstage is $30 because it actually prompts people to buy Macs. Apple is still primarily in the hardware business, and I think their software exists largely to sell more hardware. I've been running Gig Performer on my Windows machines for a few years. I had used other VI hosts before. No comparison. GP was so intuitive that I was able to do things the way I wanted without reading the manual at all. When a Macbook Pro was given to me, the first thing that I did was buy another GP license for it. Yes, I shelled out $29 for MainStage just to have the sounds, but I didn't buy Logic as I didn't want to update my Macbook Pro once it dies on me. I agree that MS is a way of Apple to have people keep buying their hardware. As for me, I couldn't care less as I don't use MS but GP and all my plugins that I had been using in my Windows machines anyway.
  22. I have both; they talk to each just fine.
  23. How about this one? It seems like a of machine for the money. My next PC/Notebook purchase would be something like this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0842WDF5T/?coliid=I30PBIUQJO8ESH&colid=STT85M0K9J9V&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1
  24. Finally my studio electric standing desk is put together. https://i.imgur.com/p7mJMxJ.jpg Initially, I ordered the iMovr Vigor frame ($750) but no email or shipping over 3 weeks. I cancelled the order and bought a $300 frame on Amazon. It can lift 320 LBS. The desktop is solid wood teak wood $240 when it was on sale. https://www.lumberliquidators.com/ll/c/Teak-Island-Top-Williamsburg-Butcher-Block-Co.-TEAKBBIS6/10041889 I found out that teak wood is lighter than maple or oak wood in weight. The height clearance for the keyboard is 7 inch, and it can be adjusted, which means just about any keyboard will fit in there. I bought a cable management bracket, a dual monitor mounting arm to save some desktop real estate. Some of these desk organizers on Amazon will work well for my purpose. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YTYGT6F/?coliid=I1LEDP7ZDFGAQC&colid=STT85M0K9J9V&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071YLDZXF/?coliid=ITIRZHG6E4FO9&colid=STT85M0K9J9V&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
