  1. Indeed, confusing. Last July I signed up for one year Ultimate subscription at $199 in order to get two lifetime keys. For some reason Roland offered me 4 keys. Zenology Pro as an instrument has been available for purchase quite some time. Online vendors sell it also. https://www.jrrshop.com/zenology
  2. What do you mean Zenology Pro includes 2 legendary instruments? I couldn't find any info on it.
  3. Use what you already have; phone (either Android or IOS), forget Pianoteq. There are many inexpensive piano, Rhodes apps. Like you said, use your computer speakers or a headphone. You can save money towards the Korg SV-2.
  4. I would have subscribed another year for Ultimate if I could keep Z Pro. I do agree that SRX plugins have better interface, but for my purpose Z Pro would work for me just fine. Also, I might get a Zen compatible piece of hardware in the future.
  5. My one year subscription ended today. I had signed up for one year Ultimate mainly to keep two plugins that I wanted to buy. It was cheaper to subscribe for a year and keep the two plugins. Roland let me keep four plugins. I don't know if Roland Cloud offers Black Friday sales, but I might purchase Zenology Pro later on as I understand it contains all the SRX sounds.
  6. Another contender would be the Behringer Flow 8 digital mixer. https://www.behringer.com/product.html?modelCode=P0DNM
  7. I no longer buy from EW, Steinberg and other companies that allow one installation. I find myself gravitating towards libraries for Kontakt. The software version of iLok has worked great for me over the years. It would be even better if you could deactivate from any computer. When my Surface Pro died on me, I couldn't deactivate from another computer, but the iLok support was very quick to take care of it.
  8. I bought this a few weeks ago. https://www.amazon.com/Getaria-Wireless-Transmitter-Receiver-Electronic/dp/B09LLG1T9C/ref=sr_1_9?crid=27Y7W65ANZ32M&keywords=Getaria&qid=1686455861&s=musical-instruments&sprefix=get%2Cmi%2C1463&sr=1-9 Some units on Amazon advertised as stereo are not really stereo, reviewers said. However, the one is indeed stereo in my test. Today I used it at my grand daughter's birthday party. It worked fine. I have a Wi Digital Wi-ALP55 AudioLink Pro made in the US, but this cheap setup is easier to use.
  9. Reaper is great in many respects, but like all other DAWs it is not geared for playing plugins for live performance. A plugin host like Gig Performer is focused on playing plugins/patches for live. Also, for some reason Reaper does not expose Windows Audio driver either. The OP says standalone, and I was saying that a simple plugin host like NanoHost will make a non standalone plugin act like one. If I play only one plugin, it would be perfect, but I use Gig Performer to play multiple plugins, create patches, and even drive external hardware modules.
  10. You can use something like NanoHost. "Tone2 NanoHost is the most lightweight VST host on this list—in fact it’s barely a host at all. NanoHost acts as a wrapper to turn a VST plugin into a standalone application. Get the tools to shape your sound with 30+ synths, instruments, effects and utilities plugins from industry leaders like Arturia, UJAM and more. The 8 Best VST Hosts for Live Performance | LANDR Blog blog.landr.com/best-vst-host/" Many of of my plugins come with standalone, but I never run standalone. One main reason is none of them seems to expose "Windows Audio" driver. I I read that Microsoft "quietly" improved Windows Audio driver recently. It really works well. In my sub $300 mini pc with 16gb ram and 1TB ssd and on a Celeron chip, I just can't believe how well plugins run. I use Gig Performer as my host in my windows and Mac machines. I just tested NanoHost. Unfortunately it doesn't list Windows Audio driver.
  11. So the new CE is $899, and $245 every time you update. That's not bad for what you get. I upgraded to Ultimate 14 from Standard 12. I noticed that CE offers many full versions of orchestra instruments whereas Ultimate doesn't. Maybe next time I will upgrade to CE. Right now, their servers are slow with all the promo going on.
  12. Just upgraded from Komplete 12 Standard to 14 Ultimate. I think NI is still pretty generous in their pricing structure and offers and I like the fact that you can install it across Windows and Mac OS in all your computers.
  13. You might want to check into this; Wi Digital Wi-ALP55 AudioLink Pro. It can toggle between stereo and mono. https://www.widigitalsystems.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=377
  14. I've been looking for an MPE controller to purchase. I stumbled upon a Gig Performer interview with a software engineer Eric Netherland. He is the inventor of an MPE controller called Netherblade. I am comparing it with the LinnStrument, Rise 2, and other MPE controllers. As usual, pros and cons with every MPE controller. The low priced, small Exquis(https://dualo.com/en/exquis/) might work for me as I want to just play the expressive melody line while the left hand is playing the bass and chords on my keyboard.
  15. I figured that you live in a remote area. Here in the States cell phone companies such as T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T have begun to offer wireless home internet service. It is not as fast as cable, but cheaper. So you might want to check around.
  16. I just started looking into purchasing an MPE controller like the LinnStrument or the Rise 2. I guess we are going to see more MPE controllers.
  17. It comes out to be almost $1,200 for all the sound packs. That's exactly what I paid for my M1 12.9 iPad Pro last year or so(the online vendor paid the out of state sales tax). I noticed that I use my iPad less and less. It has become an expensive score viewer for me. It was neat to use some midi utility apps only available for IOS over the years, but I don't need them any more as I run Gig Performer in my MBP and Windows machines, and GP allows me to do all the MIDI acrobatic moves. Last week, I was look around for an IOS app similar to Strum GS2. I couldn't find any. So many plugins that I run in a full fledged computer that are not available for IOS.
  18. Rotten Apple! So much for their own proprietary stuff. At least my M1 12.9 updated to iPadOS 16.5 works fine with my non-Apple USB hub; midi and audio.
  19. Markbass CMD-102. What a sound! Powerful and clean. I used to run keyboards through it. https://www.markbass.it/product/cmd-102p/
  20. Any differences in sound quality and characteristics between the 308 and 408?
  21. Some reviewers say that they like the TS308 better as it is warmer. The new low price of $250 for the 408 is appealing, though.
  22. I haven't purchased a P121 yet. If I buy one, I will update you on it.
  23. One commented, "his seizure just had a brain..." The 2 against 3 or 3 against 2 isn't exactly for beginners, though.
  24. This is exactly the reason why I purchased Arturia FX Collection 3 not too long ago, and I keep getting V Collection upgrades. Yes, my most favorite and important VST host Gig Performer allows three also.
  25. Just as I expected and mentioned the other day. This reminds me of Paypal backpedaling real quick on their policies recently. I closed my Paypal account and I felt so liberated! Back to Waves, I am not buying any more plugin that allows only one computer activation, either. Yes, Vox Populi though I do recognize that the "majority" can be wrong as history has shown us.
