  1. Would be great if they would open the sample engine for user samples.
  2. are you using usb audio in? if so, make sure the usb audio gain is set correctly. what happens if you switch off usb audio in (just press the knob)? or maybe try a better usb cable. I have no issues with my numa x piano. It’s quiet like a mouse and I find it much easier to use with my daw than my yc61.
  3. I took a different approach and added the Numa X 73 to my Stage 3 compact. To me it's a killer lightweight combo which adds weighted piano keys to my NS3c setup. The clever masterkeyboard and mixer functions of the Numa X make this setup VERY easy to use. I am using some of the Numa's own sounds too. It's a really innovative board in terms of user-friendliness and playability. Really dig it.
  4. It can do Jump! 😜🤣 Jump to famous bank demo from minute 29:22
  5. That doesn't sound identical. Not at all. I can even hear the anemia through my iPhone's speakers.
  6. Bots and trolls seem to be Behringers best friends… 😜
  7. Still my favorite OB emulation. The upgrade costs 35 bucks. I've never put my money into my music computer so quickly. The extra presets emulating iconic sounds of other vintage synths like Mini Moog or JP8 alone are worth the money.
  8. I don't understand the hype about this Behringer clone. The demos I heard so far don't sound anything like the original. Even a Matrix 1000 played through a good FX unit sounds more authetic to my ears. The Prophet REV2 can also produce pretty good Oberheim sounds:
  9. A few years ago I had a Behringer Deepmind here for testing. I tried to like it because it was cheap and I could easily afford it. But it didn't satisfy me at all. I just couldn't get rid of the Behringer fake smell it was giving off. We are all spoiled by cheap overseas throwaway goods we are flooded with these days. At first glance, it is tempting to get something cheap that previously seemed unattainable. But Behringer's mass-products didn't ever make me happy and I don't own a single B product. Instead of the Deepmind I got myself a Sequential Prophet 6 and a REV 2 later on. To me buying a UB-Xa would feel like supporting questionable me-too business practices. This is just me. Others might feel different. And Behringer will for sure drive the next supposed piggy bank through the synth lovers village. But you can't buy love... 😜
  10. FWIW I just velcro a small Mackie 402 mixer on one of my powered RCF speakers. That makes a perfect keyboard amp. Alternatively I still use my good old Roland KC350 sometimes which always proves to be a versatile keyboard monitor in bigger PA settings. That’s not the best sounding amp on it’s own but it’s more than good enough as a monitor in a band setting. Recently I got a Numa XPiano which features an included four channels mixer. This might simplify things in future.
  11. Back to the subject. A few days ago I got a Numa XPiano73. I had no high expectations but I'm very impressed. It far exceeded my expectations. I had formerly owned a Studiologic SL73 for a few days before I sent it back. The TP100 keybed of the SL73 was unplayable for me. But the new TP110 is a completely different story. The keybed plays superbly well and the APs and EPs are top notch. I really love playing this thing! Also I don't share the view that the non-piano sounds are uninspiring. Additional sounds and two fine new APs can be downloadad from the Studiologic website once you registered the instrument. With a little programming (which is easier than with any other keyboard I ever owned) I was able to create some really outstanding synth pads, strings and brass sounds. These sounds can be made up of up to four layers (think of NS4). Each layer can use individual FX (!). Some of these programs sound better and more realistic than what I was used to from my NS3 compact or YC61. Add to that the sophisticated masterkeyboard functions and the ingenious four audio inputs mixer feature plus the brilliant iPad integration and the included PC or Mac USB audio interface. If Studiologic continues to add more good downloadable sounds the XPiano could become a serious Nord challenger which costs much less than the red Swedes. This thing is a keeper for sure! JMTC
  12. Great stuff indeed. But most of that could also be played with Stage 3 if in capable hands.
  13. There is one competitor: Nord Stage 3 😉
  14. Obviously they omitted the song mode. Still no class compliant audio over USB? Still no decent audio in? Hey Nord folks, what century is this? I am out. I don't see any benefit of replacing my trusty NS3 compact with a overpriced successor. NS3 compact may well become a sought-after classic in the future.
  15. I was offered a used Prophet 6 desktop for a price i couldn't say no to. amazing synth. I play it with a Roland A800 61 keys keyboard. this synth is addictive. found out that one of the VCO-voice boards was faulty. Sequential sent me a new one which arrived within a few days. Terrific customer service!
  16. TWIW: I once brought a Nord Electro 73 in a Nord softbag as hand luggage from the US to Europe without any problems.
  17. Check out the System 8 if you are lusting for the classic Roland synthesizer sounds. Full size keys instead of mini keys, better VA engine than Jupiter XM and no confusing menu diving. The Jupiter X/XM can do more overall but the System 8 mimics analogue synth sounds better.
  18. I velcroed the SE02 with the DK01 on top of the Juno Stage. Works great even though the DK01 doesn’t fully fit on the Juno.
  19. These days I got my hands on a Roland System 8. While I don't like the flashy green LEDs design I was surprised how good it sounded. A few years ago I had a very brief encounter with a System 8. Back then I found it thin and digital sounding. But now I liked it's VA sounds better than the Zenology VA synth interpretations for example. What do others here think about this synth?
  20. I simply doweled two brackets to the wall, mounted a shortened tabletop on it, hung the screen on the wall, put the studio monitors and two 19 inch racks on the table and simply put the keyboard on a keyboard stand in front of or under the plate. total cost about 200 bucks. looks good and ergonomics work great for me. for my needs certainly better than any affordable studio desk I've found.
  21. Let's agree on most music software is, very few are not. BTW where is the logical difference between software baked in a chip (like SRX boards) and software loaded into non-volatile memory (like model expansions)? If you buy the former, you own it. If you buy the latter, you are generously allowed to use it without ever owning it... maybe I'm too old for such nonsense.
  22. Same here. My JUNO Stage is a keeper too. It has not the slightest thing in common with any vintage JUNO except for the pitchbend lever. But it's a extremely versatile board with a great light weighted 76 keybed. And if I want to get rid of the SRX ultimate keys expansion board in it, I can sell it at double the price I paid for without Roland can stop me... 😜
  23. Wait a minute, if you want to sell the B3X or the Adobe Suite along with your hardware, you can: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?id=44&bu=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuaWttdWx0aW1lZGlhLmNvbS9mYXEvaW5kZXgucGhwP3NlYXJjaD1saWNlbnNlJTIwdHJhbnNmZXI= https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/transfer-product-license.html With Roland you can't sell anything. They don't even allow you to de-activate hardware like the WC1 wireless stick in order to sell it. This is against most software business practices I came across so far. Most people are not aware of that when they spend their money in Roland Cloud.
  24. That's not a fair comparison. I would rather compare model expansions with formerly available SRX boards. Hard to imagine that you would be forced to keep your SRX boards forever and take them with you to the grave one day. It would be very easy to prevent abuse if Roland wanted to. See here: https://vi-control.net/community/threads/reselling-a-transferred-license-arturia.111653/ or here: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/210288845-Buying-or-Selling-a-Native-Instruments-Product-Second-Hand But Roland sees no need to offer a license transfer process if the unsuspecting user is happy without it. I am even more surprised that some people defend this ill-conceived Roland policy.
