  1. I have a Studiologic SL73/TP100LR which I mainly use with Pianoteq and Korg Module American D. I really like it after I calibrated the keybed to my playing with the unique key balance feature. This should not be confused with the key velocity curves adjustment which the SL73 also offers of course. After setting the key balance the keybed feels much less spongy. I have no idea how this works because the physical resistance of the key springs doesn"t change. But it works. Must be a psychoacoustical or psychohaptical issue or someting. Not sure if other brands use the key balance feature of the TP100LR in their products.
  2. I am considering to purchase the performance expansion for the split and the Midi learn feature. But I read in the manual that only pianos, clavs and organ can receive Midi CCs to control a few parameters. What about parameters of synth sounds such as Cutoff, Resonance etc.? Can't the be controlled by Midi CCs? I don't want to buy the expansions only to find out that synth sounds can't be controlled the way I need it. Do any of you fellow Module users know this? No one?

  4. BTW: there is a free PC/Mac demo version which runs for 10 days without restrictions.
  5. Galileo's extensive tweakability didn't help me much to like it. No matter how much I tweaked it, I never obtained the B3/Leslie sound I was looking for. Looked at in that light I wasted money with Galileo even though it's much cheaper than B3-X. I never use it. In contrast I am using B3-X daily either on PC or iPad. From day one I had a lot of fun playing it. No regrets about the purchase even though I initially thought it's too expensive.
  6. Interesting. To my knowledge the current TP100LR features quite a few enhancements compared with earlier versions of the TP100 still used by Nord and other manufacurers. In addition to various velocity settings the TP100LR features a new key balance function for each single key which changes the response of each key and also sets the balance of the black/white keys. Obviously Crumar made good use of this unique feature when they configured the Crumar Seven. More about that can be found here (scroll down to the bottom): https://www.studiologic-music.com/products/sl-studio/#sleditor
  7. FWIW: The animated cab runs fine on my ipad air 2 and on my ipad pro gen 1
  8. Do we really need a second B3X thread...? https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/3019812/6/hammond-b-3x-for-ipad
  9. Yeah, B3X really rocks. So much fun playing it with a tiny Korg microKEY 61 just everywhere I want. It sounds just incredible. Best 100 bucks I ever spent fior any music gear.
  10. B3-X update 1.02 was released last Friday. Less ressource hungry and keyboard split. Runs great on my iPad Air 2.
  11. I never played a Mojo. But I hear that the Mojo engine is based on the same software as VB3 II which sounds somewhat muddy too. Just recently I compared the VB3 II with the IK B3-X. What a difference! Just grab the free demo version and compare yourself. If you like it you could easily use your Mojo as a organ masterkeyboard for the IOS version of B3-X. JMTC
  12. I am using an Audient ID14: https://www.thomann.de/gb/audient_id14.htm?ref=intl&shp=eyJjb3VudHJ5IjoiZ2IiLCJjdXJyZW5jeSI6IjIiLCJsYW5ndWFnZSI6ImVuIn0%3D Very low latency, excellent sound quality. The BurrBrown converters are significantly better compared to it's competition in it's price range. Much cheaper than the RME Babyface which I also owned. There is no perceptible difference in latency or sound to the RME. JMTC
  13. Hammond/Leslie clone technology continues to evolve... my playing skills don't... what a pain.
  14. I also found that the APs and EPs played with the VR730 keys sounded better than in the VR09 even though they are technically identical.
  15. I owned a VR09 for quite some time and I liked it. In comparison the VR730 feels like a completely different instrument even though it's engine is 95 percent identical. It's all about haptic perception... I tried a VR730 in a store nearby and I liked the keybed a lot. Playing AP and EP sounds on the VR730 feels so much better than with the VR09.
  16. This matches my opinion on the SP6 keys which are identical to the PC4. Well, others seem to get along with this Medeli keybed. But I didn't. Not at all. If Kurzweil would release a lightweight 76 keys PC4 with a Fatar TP8 (but with the regular light Fatar springs please!) I would definitly consider the PC4 because it really ticks many boxes of my needs.
  17. Queen - I Want To Break Free Snappiest synth solo ever.
  18. 199 USD is just the introductory rate. After that the price will be 299 USD. Plus VAT... oh my! I thoroughly compared the B3-X with my VB3 II. Have to say, the B3-X sounds so much better in every respect. Much better C/V, better Percussion, much more detail, more warmth..... oh gosh, my demo version expires in three days.... wanna keep it!

  20. Downloaded the demo and played around with it for a while. Sounds really good through my RME and Adient audio interfaces. But not so much better than VB3 II or B5 that it would justify a 200 bucks investment. IMHO it's way overpriced.
  21. Who you mean? Your president who's got German roots? ;-)
  22. I like it a lot that they just surprise us with new instruments without any âcoming soon' teaser bullshit... watch this Kurzweil folks! Hope K" will speed up their OS 4.0 release before I'll take a closer look to the new Forte rival.
  23. I'd rather say it will be unsaleable in a few weeks... ð¤
