  1. Hi Adan, it's great to read your impressions of the YC61, very helpful. I have a specific question which I hope you can answer. My plan would be to sit the YC61 on top of my Crumar Seven. I'd like to know if it's possible to have the YC being played as an organ or synth and at the same time have an external Midi controller play its internal AP sounds? I'll try to figure this out reading the manual but if you can confirm that would be great. Cheers, Ken
  2. The Studiologic pedal is more expensive than the Yamaha in Canada.
  3. I've owned lots of Nords, still have a Stage EX and a Stage 2 EX but the Mojo/Gemini is so good that I can't enjoy the organs on the Nords any more. It's encouraging to me that you like the YC61 even though you have a Gemini. I still think I'm going to jump for a YC61 when they are finally available in Canada. Your observations really help. Cheers, Ken
  4. Niacin, the rotary sim seems a bit weak compared to Nord or Mojo. I can't see a mic distance adjustment in the manual. What are your thoughts?
  5. Not available yet in Canada but I think I'll get in line.....
  6. Aidan, This is truly beautiful! Thanks, Ken
  7. I'm thinking I'm going to get one of these. Thanks for posting the C/V stuff, it really helps. I think this thing sounds very promising.......
  8. You can order from me.....
  9. I ordered the kit and built it following the excellent step-by-step instructions. I use it with my Gemini module. It went together beautifully and worked perfectly first time. I even modified it to accept an external footswitch to control rotary speed. I am an electronics technologist with my own repair shop and I do this type of work daily but honestly, if you have the patience and good soldering skills it should work out. I really enjoyed building it, it reminded me of building models as a kid. I would recommend a soldering station to avoid heat damage when soldering. Good luck and let us know how it goes! Cheers, Ken
  10. Thanks for the quick reply. I'd love to hear some sustained organ notes with and without the C3 applied. Any chance of a demo sometime?
  11. How is the vibrato/chorus? It doesn't appear to be adjustable from the manual and one of the things that drives me crazy about all of the Nords is that C3 is just too heavy. The demos haven't really shown this well yet. I'm strongly considering this!
  12. I'm thinking it might make a great companion for my Crumar Seven. It offers drawbar organ, acoustic piano and synth and seems to be a good controller. It might just fill a need in my gear.....
  13. Behringer XR 16 or XR18 should do the trick.
  14. If they would make a PC4 - 76 I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
  15. I have a Nord Stage 2 EX 76 with the HP action. I actually really like it. Of course, it's a little heavy for playing organ but OK with the high trigger point. I think the Nord Stage 3 76 HP is a brilliant choice.
  16. You might want to try to find one of these. It will hold the iPad at a good working angle, charge it and provide audio and USB connections. I have one and it works great with my iPad Air for live. https://www.amazon.com/Focusrite-iTrack-Professional-Dock-Recording/dp/B00HX6IQK0
  17. Just like Tom, I've moved to the Behringer Xair stuff. I have an XR18 in my studio and I use the tiny XR12 for live work. It replaced my Key Largo. Way more flexible and powerful. Now I have all of my charts and control for both the XR12 and the Mackie console to adjust monitor mix onstage, all loaded onto an Asus Zenbook. Great solution for live performance. I've always been skeptical of Behringer products but the Xair mixers seem to be much higher quality than previous things I've tried from them.
  18. Fantastic contributions all! I'm humbled by the sheer quality....
  19. I just ordered as well. I'll post my experience once they arrive.
  20. I just wanted to send a shout out to OB Dave. I've transitioned to using a Behringer XR-12 digital mixer for my keyboard mix/DI on stage and I just pulled out my old trusty DB-1, spent half an hour re-configuring it with the tools provided by Dave and it now controls the XAir flawlessly with a single midi connection. What a great box! What a fantastic concept for the DB-1! Dave, you're the best! Cheers, Ken
  21. You might want to check out the V3 Piano XXL module. I have one and it's very good.
  22. I use my 18880 with a Stage 76 and Mojo 61 and it's nice and solid. I love the quick set-up and tear down and the light weight is great.
  23. I've had great success with ProAudioStar shipping to me in Canada. You can probably get an estimate of the duty charges from the CRA website and you'll have to pay HST. Ken
