  1. Banzai Pipeline. No need to go any further. (just a joking answer)😂
  2. Find out what it is worth now surfergirl. If it is worth a bunch, I suggest you keep it for a future windfall. If it is not worth a bunch then let it go. I once had a very early Telecaster (My first electric guitar way back in the early 1960's) I sold it for $300 and the guy I sold it to stiffed me for fifty bucks of the $300) Anyways it was a 1950's Tele which is sure worth a big bunch more that the $250 I did get for it back then. Just my $.02. Good luck with it.
  3. I might have had a chorus pedal long long ago. But never really bonded with any chorus pedals as keepers.
  4. Old Slowhand can now truthfully be called Old Slowhand at 78 years old.😂
  5. And I forgot to mention that my sister in law was driving those mountain roads with one good hand (Right hand) and her compromised left hand was broken and healing in a brace.
  6. I used to like lookin at bare naked ladies (not the group) when I was a young man.😂
  7. I just spent 10 damp and rainy days in Seigler Springs California. 13-1/2 hours up I-10 to I-5 and local roads. 850 miles all in one shot each way. I spent more time lugging firewood and starting the fireplace inside for heat in the house. Then with trips to Forestvill Ca., over hair raising curves (with my sister in law driving) and also down to Clear Lake town on the south end of the lake several times that week. Glad to be home in the Az desert where the roads are straight, and my central heating does all the work in the house for heat.
  8. They sound OK decent players/singers.
  9. It's yours Kuru, If Chuck wanted a painted over Firebird and Gibson knew about it, then no problemo. Gibson would say; get the spray can out, Chuck ain't satisfied with a sunburst paint job,
  10. I had the original hundred watt Plexi, one channel. I played it through a sunn 6-12 bass cab. Standing in front of that thing was simply awesome sounding, but super loud. After that amp I never liked el power tubed amps. I am still a 6L6 or 6v6 power tubed amps guy. The 6L6 and 6v6 amps have less "hair/fuzz" in the overdrive sound. so I can get that smooth Santana like overdrive lead sound without the grind.
  11. My favorite strat sized pups are Seymour Duncan Lil 59'ers they give the strat a sound between a standard strat sound, and a Gibson SG or Les Paul style sound. More ;power and deeper with less of that fender chime that so many players like. In my present strat clone I use vintage fender noiseless but one day soon it will be the Seymour Duncan Lil 59'ers
  12. Lots of variables in speaker selection. I use hemp cone speakers in both of my guitar amplifiers. I also have an old EVM 12 L that I bought about 38 years ago with my First Mesa Boogie Mark 2C+. I use Eminence hemp cone speakers in my current guitar amps. The hemp cone speakers mitigate the very high frequencies and enhance the deeper tones. The hemp cone also mitigate the harsh pick attack. I have an Egnater Tweaker amp (15 watt Head) and I put it thorough a 50 watt 12" Eminence Cannabis Rex Hemp Cone speaker and a 200 watt EVM 12L, which gives me both the deep tones and the sparkling highs and the mix of the two is excellent. I place the hemp cone cab on top and the EVM 12 L cab under the hemp cone.
  13. I have vegan friends, and they seem to be humane folks. I was a strict vegetarian for over 24 years, I did eat dairy while a vegetarian but never went all the way to vegan. I was also a union bricklayer while I was a vegetarian and I still worked hard the same as I did in my carnivorous years. These days I eat mostly organic foods but still eat a small portion of meat with my meals.
  14. I had one Marshall amp, a hundred watt plexi Super Lead. It was OK and did some neat stuff but I have been mostly a Fender player over the years. I did have a few Mesa Boogies over the years and they were ok with EVM 12L's. I liked them better than the Marshall and most of the Fenders. I did have 3 stand out Fender amps, a Rivera Era Fender 30, A silver face Pro Reverb with channel switching with 2 JBL K120's in it, the 30 had channel switching with a single JBl in it, and my 2 Super Champ X2's with hemp cone 10" speakers in both.
  15. I have been playing since 1964 or so. And I agree. As my fingers get slower I learn new things with pauses and my frequent "clams", which sometimes work out to be new ideas.
